Friday thread.. Nnnnn nnnnn19th April
Quiet one here this weekend to recharge.
Fri. WFH and relaxing...
Sat. Forest of Dean with @crust and a few others. Some crazy but not too much of it.
Sun. Family BBQ with some mates and beers.

I'm paying for a man's new jet ski, in exchange he's tiling my kitchen floor.

The usual shed, garden, house things. Finish a storage unit for the shed, move a wall light in the house, shift some topsoil from place to place and more.

Going for a trip on a canal today. Chance to see how the restoration is coming along and how much more of the various bits are linked up.
Sunday doing a 'Shakespeare Sonnet Walk' (You follow a string of clues while apparently random people in odd locations quote the Bard at you). Previous ones have been good because they took you into places you may not know or normally be allowed in.
The DiY/decorating/spring cleaning/clear out continues. Trips to the dump will feature. May buy a better (Makita/battery) circular saw to replace the cheapie mains powered one and fabricate some shed and garage shelving. This will also reduce the stack of wood in the garage. (All spare from the cabin build).

Docs this morning and a tad nervous about it.
Tomorrow a fair bit of digging, well me watching someone else doing it, but helping to get pad stones into place. Maybe out to dinner in the evening.
Sunday, if the weather is okay, clean the x-adv and fit a chain oiler to it.If I can be bothered wash, polish and wax my car.

Admin today
Tmrw there's a round of the Spanish rally championship on the island.
It starts very close to us with all roads closed. We can walk to a couple of good vantage points.
Then get on the enduro bikes and find some more places to watch.
Sunday one of the enduro boys is kite surfing from Puerta del Carmen over to Fuerteventura. About 30 kns
Gonna watch them set off and if timings works out, we'll jump on the ferry to see them land about 90 mins later.
Can't judge crossing time coz not sure of wind speed.
My daft mate is 62 and fit as hell

Re: Friday thread.. Nnnnn nnnnn19th April
The weather is set dry and sunny,so hopefully there'll be some quality biking miles, instead of dodging the showers.
43 years married on Sunday and the plan is to enjoy some fine food on Saturday evening.
Grass needs cutting too,I'll maybe leave that until early next week to allow the swamp to drain a little.

Re: Friday thread.. Nnnnn nnnnn19th April
Today: lie-in, teeny bit of WFH, then went and picked up the mower from it's service (handed over several limbs for that , plus the new carb and new belt drive shaft (which probably has a proper name)), then out for a spin on the bike, picked up some new glasses, fitted my new Abba stand fittings, and tidied up a pile of wood that had been abandoned in the middle of the workshop.
Now to take the dog out, and go visit the parents.
Tomorrow/Sunday: pick some things on the to-do list, and do them, oh, and go to see Russell Kane with some mates.
