COTA Motogp
Will Sparky Marky do the biz, since he's on a competitive yoke?
If Rins can win on last year's Homda, shirley he can be up there on the slightly less worse Yamaha.
Who y'all fancy?

Re: COTA Motogp
I've no idea who'll win & I'm looking forward to seeing what Acosta gets up to this time.

He's giving himself a lot to live up to,I hope that expectation doesn't become a stick for his back.

Re: COTA Motogp
Same but from the stuff I've seen so far - footage while giving feedback, planning etc. - he seems decently grounded & is clearly enjoying himself. But then he's not won yet.

Re: COTA Motogp
I'm seeing levels of maturity in Acosta similar to that of Quartararo. Despite his youth and the disparity between the highs and lows with Yamaha,Fabio has conducted himself without reproach.

Re: COTA Motogp
My 4 Fantasy MotoGP riders for COTA are Mav, Pedro, Enea and Alex. In FP1 3 of my boys were in the top 4. I'll take that.

No times yet, but here's FP2 order. Martin was 0.5 seconds under the current lap record.

Re: COTA Motogp
Lin Jarvis will retire from Yamaha at the end of the year.
Jake Dixon was 5th in FP2, despite spending a huge amount of the session not in the top 20. Not sure what was going on as nobody on BT Sport was mentioning him, even when he was 5th for the the last 20 minutes. Same with Scott Ogden - he was running top 10 (best of 6th) for most of qualifying, and then slipped back to 13th at the flag. Did anyone talk about him, did they fuck.

Re: COTA Motogp
Not tonight, they were utterly useless when it came to talking about the brits. Dixon's lack of top 20 position should have been worth a conversation, given he's a regular top 5 guy, but nope, nothing.Yorick wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 10:25 pmThe BT lot are usually brilliant.westers151 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 10:18 pm Lin Jarvis will retire from Yamaha at the end of the year.

Ogden's performance was worth a talking point 'cos he's back up to where he should be, but nope, nothing.
Very frustrating - I like the BT lot, apart from Perry and Shouty Nat; I'm not misogynistic, except for commentators - I prefer to listen to a bloke in a male dominated sport.

Re: COTA Motogp
Perry is a good anchor person and she's been there 20+ years and got the respect of some top riders. Got some great interviews on the back of that.westers151 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 10:33 pmNot tonight, they were utterly useless when it came to talking about the brits. Not a patch on Toby Moody, and never will be.
I guess i don't like the "show" that seems to be popular. I just want to watch the races, not listen to hours of waffle that invariably turns out to be wrong.
Toby and Jules were infinitely better
