IIRC this means that if there's ambiguity in the wording of a contract the meaning taken is that which favours the party that didn't draft it. I have to go through the company's - RH I assume as it's them I have the contract with - before going to the ombudsman but will give ot a try.
In fact, the payout was fine and rapidly processed so no complaints there. The problem is the knock-on effect for further cover.
