Well that's a ballache. Kinda ranks alongside me sat on the bike then letting the weight fall onto the sidestand....except I hadn't got around to putting the stand down at that point. You feel a twat, but suck up the positives, lick your wounds and move on.

Yes, new peg, new exhaust or end cap and I don't think you could tell other than the scuffed crash bung and i could get one of those if i was bothered. Compared to how it could of gone that's not bad.

In other news Fowlers have the footpeg new at £39. Doesn't mention colour other than to call them. So will do that ASAP. If I can get a new one for 40 quid I'll be happy.

Called Fowlers as couldn't get right part number as they only list 2016 models. So new OE one is £67 without the hero blob, so luckily I've not thrown that way! Think I'll have a last look on ebay but then order it as an idiot tax.

Presumably driven by my recent searches I went on YouTube just now and first video recommended to me was a bloke replacing his snapped GSXS 750 peg

I was surprised by the first one, cast alloy with almost a honeycomb texture. Stiff, but obviously didn't like shock loads. Both mine broke when the bikes toppled at zero mph.

So exactly what I did

Last time I did it I had a humongous bruise on my arm which didn't hurt at all. And a suspected cracked rib that hurt a LOT.

And my street cred was shot to hell and back.

Ta will take a look. Was thinking Fowlers as I am going to Bristol Tuesday to take my son to see the SS Great Britain and then on to Bath Wednesday. So was thinking of collecting from Fowlers as I'll be nearby

Looks like the 1000 shares pegs with the 750. Again 2 or 3 left pegs, no right ones. People must always throw themselves to the right!!!

If a lot of these mishaps are low speed or no speed, than the side stand may well be down, meaning that the only way to fall is on the RH side...?

Both of mine were right hand pegs. No side stands in use.

Also, if you're right handed, you push the bike from the LH side meaning (again) there's only one way for the bike to fall.

Right peg sorted. I've just ordered a new one from Fowlers, I'm staying 5 mins drive from them tomorrow night. Yeah it's expensive but it'll be new and I can have it now rather than mess about waiting on ebay or getting a Chinese special. The shaft it sits on slides up and down ok so think that's fine/straight but ordered a new E clip in case the one on there gets damaged/lost when I remove it. Was only £2 and sods law says I don't get one it'll ping off into the garage never to be seen again or snap.

Going to leave the exhaust for now. It's only the end cap that's bad and I'll keep an eye out and get one when a non scratched one turns up.

Thought I'd found the perfect seat replacement on ebay but despite the guying saying it was for a 2015-2021 GSXS the shape of the back of the seat doesn't match mine so I think it's for the later model. Pity as it looks new but not worth paying £65 and getting the wrong one. There was another from a braker but to me the foam looks wet/dirty or at least not good so will wait on that. Will give @mangocrazy bloke a call when I get time, but his doesn't have a website just a number now so will see if he is still trading. In the meantime will hunt for an OE seat. Seems Bagsters are about £300 and my brothers bike came with one and he didn't like it so that's put me off a bit. Worse case is bodge my seat short term with tape and get a mesh air seat cover like CoolCovers or something.
