Coldest is fairly tame, about -25°C in Colorado.

I've done -75°C in a test chamber. That's beyond cold, so cold it becomes a different sensation.

Hard to imagine -75°C.

I've found dry cold is v deceptive. I worked in the warehouse/freezer at a poultry plant which I guess was colder than the domestic fridge and the -30°C at Calgary was similar. You think, initially, a bit nippy but it sort of sinks in to you. Never thought about the temperature when actually skiing/snowboarding being a) dressed for it and b) active but standing around in the kit I got off the plane in got a bit weird after 30 mins+

Skiing is always a roller coaster of temperatures IME. I remember being baking hot in the sun standing at the bottom of the lift in Colorado, stripped down to a T shirt, only for my drinks bottle to freeze solid on the lift ride up.

Working above a row of Marshall boilers installing new lines to the orifice plates down to the dp cells. Middle of July, engineering shutdown. Hottest I've ever experienced. That said Death Valley was damn hot. The car over heated on the way.

High temperatures can feel totally different - high 40s and high humidity can be very uncomfortable but the same temperatures without the humidity i.e. dryer air can be very pleasant.

Same chamber does +70°C at 100% RH. You're practically scuba diving when you go in . You actually have to be quite careful with sending people in to check stuff, very easy to lose track of what you're up to and pass out.

To be fair the snow in the indoor snow slope here is like that...only needs to be sorta minus 5. Same at real Ski resorts too.

I've tried and failed to make snowballs in temperatures alot higher than -40 though.

T'was also 12,000ft up though which would effect the humidity somewhat

Hottest +53C, Lower Zambezi valley between Zambia and Zimbabwe, on the river in an open boat fishing for the day. Coldest, -19C, worked in the North of Sweden for a few days, February. The sea was frozen ...

Finland - No idea how cold, but I felt my tears freezing on my eye lashes.

Coldest was Castlederg one winter, it was minus 15c but by some miracle, my ancient Peugeot started.

Coldest was -16C in Debrecen Hungary in 1998. Siberian winds cut through you like knives.

Coldest I can testify to is 14F

In Leeds the big Yorkshire Post building tower constantly shows time and temp.

Riding to work one morning it was showing 14f. That's -10c

It used to be cold in Bejam's freezer room in Woolwich when I worked there evenings and weekends as a spotty 15 year old.

To stay warm I had to don a thick coat, gloves and boots and sit round the corner where nobody could see me and eat the posh ice creams and choc ices then hide the empty wrappers behind the racking...
