What are the information sources which lead you to conclude that Hamas is no longer a "viable military force"?
You really do just follow the Israeli/Zionist playbook, don't you? Ignore the genocide that the IDF are visiting upon the Palestinian people and big up the bogeyman Hamas. Diversionary tactics to try and stop people seeing the enormity of what Israel is doing.

I ask again: do you have Jewish antecedents?
Why does his ancestry matter? If he was/is Jewish would you feel differently?
It’s almost as if he’s saying being Jewish is not a good thing.

I wouldn't feel any different (it makes no difference to me), but he certainly would, having been raised to believe that Palestinians were the Enemy and are trying to steal 'our God-given land'. It would explain quite a lot, not least why he is so one-eyed about Hamas and has a blind spot the size of the Holy Land regarding the atrocities Israel are committing currently and their history of oppressing the Palestinians.

That's a bit tame for you isn't it? I'd have expected nothing less than 'stone the anti-Semite!' See also my response to JamJar.

Heres more about it from Francesca Albanese. She's an intelligent woman and makes some good points that seem pretty uncomfortable for the genocide apologists.

I'd say your silence and refusal to answer a simple question is of greater interest.

That's how Zionists are raised. Being a Jew does not necessarily mean you are a Zionist. I'm not sure if the opposite is true.

@JamJar's question was not about Zionism, it was specifically about Jews ...

JamJar's question was about a belief system - how people are raised. My response was based on a Zionist upbringing. Your responses and attitudes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict would lead me to believe you are either a convert to Zionism or had a Zionist upbringing.

@JamJar's question was explicitly about Jews.

Now you're trying to backtrack by talking about Zionism.

You're a bigot, and not even a closet one.

I had some grub in Poland that was sold as a Jewish specialty. It was very like cold haggis.

So they can’t be all bad.

My question was specifically about how you think Jews are raised! How do you know how Jews are raised?

Just securing this for future reference...

I was endeavouring to distinguish between moderate jews and hard line Zionism. Netanyahu and his cronies are all hard-line Zionists. As with any nationality or race, it's totally inaccurate to stereotype or try to assign national characteristics across the board. I'm sure in Jewish society, as with any society, there is a very broad spectrum of opinion. It wil encompass those who are deeply troubled and in fierce opposition to what Netanyahu and his govt are doing in Palestine, all the way to those who are rabidly in support. I'd suggest there is a broad middle spectrum who aren't comfortable about what's going down in Gaza but are keeping their heads down and hoping it will stop soon.

Quite likely. I imagine there would be atheists and agnostics in Jewish society, so not an all-encompassing yes from me.
