True, but there's only one 'side' still dropping bombs and killing people.

The side with actual armed forces, against whom starting a war was ill-advised.

Yeah who cares about them!
Top marks for cherry picking a quote and then taking it the opposite way to which it was intended. My point was, whether Hamas releases the hostages or not, Israel will be forced to negotiate a ceasefire.
Worth noting that there's thousands of Palestinians held without trial and also just given a military trial by the Israelis thats got something like a 97 % conviction rate.
Are they listed as hostages?

Fair trials, innocent until proven guilty and related goodness only occur in peacetime.

Well that's a pretty nauseating attempt at trying to dismiss the logic of what I was saying by implying racial or other bias.

Replying either to the positive or to the negative to your post will implicitly validate your particularly unpleasant question, therefore I will not respond to it.

If you disagree with my stance then instead try arguing against it.
I've already done that, at great length. Your confected righteous indignation leads me to believe I may have touched a nerve.

An immediate ceasefire, followed by Netanyahu and his cronies appearing before an International court of law. Israel are becoming increasingly isolated and may soon find themselves in the same pariah state status as apartheid South Africa. They deserve that, and more.
Adolescent pipe dreams.

Couldn't agree more. Does that give such an armed force carte blanche to rain down ordnance on civilians, hospitals etc. when there is no opposing military force?

There is opposition, as you know, even if they are a hapless rabble of lowlifes.

After all, who is holding and abusing the October 7th hostages?

How would I know who is holding the Israeli hostages? Who is to say they are not buried under rubble along with their captors? But trying to paint Hamas as a still viable military force to justify the continuation of genocide in Palestine is pretty poor.

Are you claiming there are now no Hamas in Gaza?

You are a master at deliberately missing the point and misinterpreting what I'm saying. I'm fairly sure that Hamas are still a (just about) functioning entity, but I'd say their scope of operations is slightly above zero. But that's just my guess. I have no way of knowing exactly (or even inexactly) their current capability.

But the IDF are still raining down hell on Palestine civilians and starving the survivors. And denying them medical aid. This is the important point.

War on Gaza: UN special rapporteur accuses Israel of acts of ‘genocide’

Post by mangocrazy »

Israel has been found to have violated three of the five acts listed under the UN Genocide Convention Including: Killing members of a specific group, causing serious bodily or mental harm, and deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole and in part.

What are the information sources which lead you to conclude that Hamas is no longer a "viable military force"?

You really do just follow the Israeli/Zionist playbook, don't you? Ignore the genocide that the IDF are visiting upon the Palestinian people and big up the bogeyman Hamas. Diversionary tactics to try and stop people seeing the enormity of what Israel is doing.

I ask again: do you have Jewish antecedents?

So no answer to the question about sources for your statement. Unsurprising.

You'll do anything to try to divert attention from facts you don't like. The reply remains the same, try running your finger slowly under the words which are repeated below then perhaps you'll finally come to the conclusion that I will not change my mind,
