Duty free!! I have always believed that airports stuff is generally cheaper. Not always cheap but not silly prices

When I left home this morning I forgot my Bluetooth headphones. (Well, forgot any headphones   )

Thought I’d grab some at the airport.

Nope

Firstly there’s none I actually would use but also, bloody hell they are expensive!!! Even the plug in jobbies aren’t cheap and I have loads at home so really object to buying those!!

Oh well. Pound shop tomorrow hopefully!!!

I was pissed up at a hotel in Central London last week and wanted some snacks. The hotel has a sort of mini-superette in the foyer for pissed up mugs snacking. 5 quid for a packet of wine gums! Of course I paid it, I couldn't be arsed to walk the 100 yards to where there were lots of proper shops.

On top of the council tax they have the cheek to charge another £50 to take away garden cuttings. :wtf: Of course it is a bargain compared to me queuing at the local tip throughout the year, but all it's really done locally is lead to flytipping of garden waste everywhere.
Same here but I have 2x green bins. As you say, beats going to the tips with all the coffin dodgers.

Probably plastic-lined. Which recycling tub?
Metallised cardboard. But same dilemma...
Opened a milk carton to check: plastic.

Ah, but was it a St Helens full fat Goat's milk carton? This kind of detail is important... :D

Skimmed, lactose-free. Perhaps lactose dissolves plastic and would need foil?

Hand dryers that appear to be specifically designed to blow water up your sleeves. :(

Toilets in busy public areas. Well, specifically the hand wash facilities

Ok, I know I would never have noticed the issue before 6 years ago but FFS, why put the hand towels/paper towels too high up for anyone with only one active arm or anyone quite short to be able to use them? This is Geneva airport. You do really need two hands to get the paper towel and I can’t get one arm that high!!!

Heathrow has some fancy system where the hand dryer is behind the sink. All automated. I can’t reach my right hand that far forward (probably can normally but not after 8+ hours of travelling!!)

Neither place has an option for anyone a bit spazzy (or very short in the case of GVA). Stupid bastards!!!

TBF I normally do for lots of reasons

But I’m wearing shorts and tights today, don’t want wet tights and the shorts are a bit thin too!!

I guess it’s just that I see the issues now where I wouldn’t have done before

3/10 must try harder

Whatever happened to "Don't piss on your hands" as a standard response in these situations?

I'd like to think Noggers sits to pee, thus reducing hand/piss interface risk.

Although given her track record of falling off of things, anything could happen.

It was a few months ago that I last had cause to dismember a cardboard milk carton. When the current one is empty I will sacrifice it to the Gods of Knowledge...

Glad I’m at the front of the bus so no one can see me sniggling 🤣🤣🤣

TBF, until the second inability to use the hand dryer (different section of Heathrow, same issue) I was going to have a mini rant and ask WTF women don’t sit as I’m so fed up with having to wipe the seat before I sit to pee!!😇

My back, don’t know what I’ve done but bloody hell is it painful and has been for 3 days, popping nurofen like smarties and trying to stay mobile.

Owwwww

Sympathies! :(

(Did mine some time ago....strimming the grass. 2 weeks of agony, painkillers that needed other tabs to protect the stomach, blew a nerve a bit like blowing a fuse and now living with the impact of that, but loss of feeling in the leg/foot is better than the pain  ).

Did some painting last night. Never a good idea when working in the dark with just a bare bulb to light the room as you're always working in your shadow.

This can be evidenced by the big patch I missed under the window which I spotted this morning.
