New bike day. The purple Orbea Rise.
https://mtbmonster.com/orbea-rise-h30-2 ... rry-black/
Well kinda, but now we've got 2.
The lad has been using ours a fair bit to maximise laps and ride time, so we've got the wife's Liv Embolden e+ for sale next week which will fund some of it.
It seems I get this one and the wife and boy get the orange one as he hates the purple.

Re: New bike day. What haven't you got one?
Why haven't I got a new bike...?
Turns out I have... Happy new bike day to me too!
Just need to swap the tyres out, get it wrapped, and get it ridden!

It seems I've got a dissector and a Reckon. But I have a few spares, not as many as you I bet.
If you wanna send me some MMs in 29 I'd love them long time.

Nothing wrong with Maxxis (apart from their stunning ability to buckle).

Well no, but they're a bit lacking in grip on the back for winter. I'll swap the rear for something else.

Re: New bike day. The purple Orbea Rise.
Just got my new Rise today, it's got a completely different bar/computer setup to the old one and i can't work out where the Dropper Lever should actually be.

There's not enough space due to the Shimano tab/limiter to move it inboard.
No matter where i seem to put it, the lever is almost touching the controller and it's really not a perfect setup....
I could of course move the computer to the inside and the dropper to the grip side... but i'm not sure that's right.

Re: New bike day. The purple Orbea Rise.
Ok, well not too terrible a solution really. Just needs a different dropper lever which increases clearance to the bars/controls.

Re: New bike day. The purple Orbea Rise.
The only other thing that needs sorting is the brakes, they're currently fitted in Euro spec LOL... so wrong lever on wrong side... But they're also a bit crap, i knew this when buying of course. They're Shimano MT410 which is down the bottom end of the range and whilst i don't need the greatest bikes in the world, they've got to be half decent.
So i think i'll drop the bike to Rotec and get him to throw on a set of CodeR or maybe even the RSCs. Probably the Codes though as it'd be nice to keep the other set of RSCs on the van as spares for the Session. I could of course take the RSCs off the Privateer

Done and tested... it's deffo quieter than the earlier motor...(which was quiet anyway).
Brakes are not as bad as you'd expect, but lack of adjustability and reach means i'll likely swap still.

Got told off by ROTEC and changed the orientation of the mount on the dropper... looks sweet now.
Arguably the discussion now is whether i run the cheapo Shimano brakes or throw the Codes on.... but i think we all know the answer to that

I mean REALLY... that's all i get.... Hahahahaha.

Nowt. No Speedo, battery, etc
Power I have 1 light that changes colour for the modes. Battery, nada. Lol
You can fit a higher spec display I believe and I can view it on my phone app. So in theory you can still find out.
I'm still happy despite a few teething issues.

This is my display

So in theory I could use a Garmin in seems. As before, the Rise platform continues to use the RS Garmin IQ app, developed by Orbea. This app enables riders to display typical ebike data, such as battery level or assistance mode, on a Garmin bike computer without needing a specific display
