Luca always wanted to be a factory rider,that's why he took the Honda ride. He's not daft,so he'll have known full well what he was getting into. No doubt he's hoping Honda will bounce back while he's still a rider,then he'll have a factory ride and be competitive.

I hope it works out for him....

The MotoGP Sprint Race is on ITV3 this afternoon, with coverage starting at 14:30 GMT. The race starts at 15:00 GMT. To go along with the live coverage on ITV4 tomorrow.

Out of the running this weekend according to his facebork page. Must have had an off.

He hurt himself in a practice off and took the decision not to race as he was still feeling concussion effects. A wise move imo.

It's hard not to enjoy a race on that circuit; Portimao is absolutely bonkers with all its elevation changes and blind corner entries. Fabulous circuit to spectate at, I would think.

I was amazed when MM said he applied the rear ride height device too early on the last corner in qualifying causing crash.
It's a scary corner.

I really like Mav - he seems an honest, if slightly wacky, soul. Ask him a question, you get a straight, unfiltered response. He's also one of the most naturally gifted riders on the grid.
