Very insignificant, I followed a car on the commute, it was a original shape Skoda Fabia VRS.

The number plate read VRS 1 OFF. Which for some reason made me smile.

Tho the MOT check suggests it's actually VR51 OFF.

It only had 216,656 miles on it at the last MOT.

I also regularly see FFF777, which is just some wanker in a Porsche, but it's a memorable light metallic blue.

I haven't handed over the money yet but the sale is agreed, I've bought some land. The area on the left is what I already own, around 10k sq metres. The area on the right is what I've agreed to buy, around 20k sq metres. It's the only piece of land in the valley that isn't protected and is being sold with planning permission. I won't be building but nor will anybody else now. I'm very happy.

What the pic doesn't show is the terrain. It's a mountain, all the fields are terraces, anything to the left of the house is national park.

If you look at the picture the grey line running down the right hand side is tarmac, it's 1km up a track to the house.

My dad had one of those, back in't day. Was quite fun for a diesel warm hatch. Very economical too!

I didn't even realise there was a diesel vRS until literally yesterday. Someone at work was saying they only pay £30pa for the road tax on theirs, to which my reaction was "surely that can't be right?!".

I thought the only vRS was the 20v Turbo full fat petrol one. I didn't realise they'd done what is basically a trim level on the diesel one too.

The original gen Fabia vRS was only diesel. They then replaced it with a little 1.4 automatic. Never been what you'd call a full-fat petrol... is his an Octavia or something?

Wasn't just trim, it had a 1.9 turbodiesel and was quicker round the Top Gear track than a Mini Cooper. Was a cult sleeper car.. though not fast in modern terms at all.

The first vRS Octavia...iirc the first vRS of any kind. They had the 180bhp engine from the same era Leon Cupra, although the press cars mysteriously had 220bhp just like an Audi S3 of that age.

Well it is a Skoda. A car bought by people who enjoy value, and thus extremely dull and hard to focus on.

I bought an electric bicycle last year, or maybe the year before, just a fold up one for taking away in the campervan. My wife denies it but the battery charger has been tidied away never to be seen again, except, all this time later i just found it.

The sun is out, its warm and I actually enjoyed my MTB ride today basking in the warmth.

Got my barnet chopped. First thing the barber asked me as I sat in the chair was, 'How's yer cock after the op?'

Plus my sister is in hospital at the moment with diverticulitis (no, I'd never heard of it either) and is sharing pics of the hospital food she's getting. It doesn't look appetising...

And of course, I would never send her photos back of the fabulous food I was getting whilst in the private hospital the other month.... No, I'd never do that.

About 9 months ago a mate asked me if I had £500 to stick in a Nutmeg saving account, as we both got £50 in John Lewis vouchers if he recommended me and I open the account using the link that was sent. Seemed like a no-brainer, so I did and we both got the vouchers. Just had a look in the app and my £500 is now £564. That's a return of more than 12%.

Not exactly life changing, but it made me smile.

One of them was a young lad still at uni, but feck me, very impressive. I'm shoving his CV under everyone's nose at the bank as we should be taking decent young people on and training them up.

Three down, three to go. Think I'll leave the rest 'til Monday. I feel like I've ruined too many weekends already.
