the That man Millyard is back again, this time with a rebuild of the Norton Nemesis 1500cc V8

And for a relatively conventional front end that is a completely insanely complicated construction. Take the forks off to change the front wheel? :wtf:

Be interested to watch that. My impression at the time was that it was just a show pony and large bits of it didn't work or were missing.

It's pretty bonkers, and not in a good way. Trying to do something comparatively simple like changing the pads would be a real challenge. It seemed like they were hell bent on doing everything differently, whether it actually made sense or not. A one-piece mudguard, brake caliper and fork leg, in aluminium, is the stuff of madness.

It'd be stiff though! :D

Shades of F1 thinking, sketchily applied. Combined callipers/uprights is something they've messed about with before for example. F1 cars being famously production ready of course.

True, but something of an understatement... :)

It's not the fact they're all one chunk of metal which makes it necessary to take the forks off per se, it's the "inside out" brakes? With more conventional callipers - even ones which are part of the fork/mudguard - you could just drop the wheel I think?

Not if the gap between the calipers is narrower than the wheel rim & tyre.

Epic! Where are these places though? Are they closed off from the general public, or do you run the risk of bumping into Ramblers and dog walkers etc?

That could be anywhere, Europe, New Zealand, the US etc.

Off road in England you have footpaths (walkers only), bridleways (walkers, cyclists, horses) and byways (unpaved roads). There's a few other classifications but you get the gist of it.
