Trump predicts the end of US democracy if he loses 2024 election
This is why he is unfit to hold any office anywhere.
Donald Trump has said that if he does not win November's presidential election it will mean the likely end of American democracy.
The republican presidential candidate made the claim to supporters in Ohio after repeating his baseless assertion that his 2020 election defeat to Democratic President Joe Biden was the result of election fraud.
During an outdoor speech, Mr Trump predicted that if he does not win the 5 November general election, US democracy will come to an end.
"If we don't win this election, I don't think you're going to have another election in this country," Mr Trump said.
This is why he is unfit to hold any office anywhere.
Blundering about trying not to make too much of a hash of things.

Biden makes exactly the same claim. All these wankers who claim Trump will end democracy etc if he wins don't have an answer to why he didn't end it during his first term.Lutin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:53 pm Trump predicts the end of US democracy if he loses 2024 election

It has been quite well documented of channels other than Fox.

Perhaps you could provide a list of all the people charged with, & convicted of *insurrection*?
as for "quite well documented".. list all the channels that showed the part of his speech where he said "peacefully protest" etc?

So his whole speech was to help aid a peaceful transition and not to encourage any disorder or stir up his conspiracy theorist core base into a riot in any way?
Phew, pleased that’s cleared up.

Sensible voting systems have mechanisms for detecting and nullifying erroneous voting. The way Trump bangs on about it you'd think election fraud was recently invented by the democrats.
If the system is flawed, Trump is just as likely to exploit it.

Let me count the ways that Trump didn't end it in his first term.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 1:09 pmBiden makes exactly the same claim. He did not succeed in any of his many lawsuits to overturn election results.
He did not succeed in getting states to send fake electors to ratfuck the election.
He did not succeed in getting Mike Pence to not certify the election during the "peaceful" demostration on January 6th.
The "peaceful" demonstration didn't bring down the House, literally.
There was not enough election fraud to have an impact on results. Of the few cases that were present, most seemed to be Trump fans casting votes for dead relatives.
He did not have enough lackies installed to get any of the above accomplished. What's to say he won't make the same mistake again?

This is incredible.
Joe Biden turned the March 7 State of the Union speech into an animated argument for a second term as he lashed into GOP front-runner Donald Trump for espousing 'resentment, revenge and retribution' and jeopardizing freedom at home and abroad.

Henry "Enrique" Tarrio was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Stewart Rhodes was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Ethan Nordean was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Joseph Biggs was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Zachary Rehl was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Kelly Meggs was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Just for funzies, let's have a look at Trump associates that have been found guilty of various charges one could relate to their time in Trump's inner circle. Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, Michael Cohen, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, Roger Stone, Rick Gates, and Allen Weisselburg.
Roger Stone has ties to Enriquo Tarrio, one time chairman of Proud Boys, and Stewart Rhodes, leader of the Oath Keepers.
Trump didn't want magnetometers used on January 6th because he knew they weren't armed to harm him.
That whole speech on J6 was used to gin up the loons in the crowd. The results were televised, just in case you missed it. He sat on his thumbs for hours watching and enjoying the show before he participated in any attempt to shut the riot down. He then tried to blame the riot on Pelosi, which was bullshit and he knew it.

As for Pelosi: Trump requested extra security for Jan 6th on Jan 4th. Pelosi refused the request.

Insurrection is a high bar and prosecutors are reluctant to make that charge without solid proof. However, seditious conspiracy isn't a parking ticket. It also has a high bar, but not so high as several of those "peaceful" demonstrators were charged and convicted.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 11:56 pmSo the answer to my request would be "none"....Bwana wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 3:31 pm Henry "Enrique" Tarrio was found guilty of seditious conspiracy.

I'm not entirely sure from what orifice you extracted that claim that Pelosi refused a request for additional security on January 4th.
Let's get one thing clear for this bit of BS. The Speaker of the House does not oversee the security of the US Capitol. That is the responsibility of the Capitol Police Board. The Speaker of the House does not oversee that board either. The Speaker cannot influence who is on that board. The board consists of the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms, the Architect of the Capital, and the Chief of the Capital Police. I think I pointed this out ages ago somewhere around here.
According to testimony from the former Capitol Police chief Steven Sund, Pelosi wasn't involved in the decisions made ahead of January 6 regarding National Guard. Sund approached the Sergeants at Arms to request NG, and that request was not approved. Senate Sergeant at Arms, Michael Stenger suggested he ask NG how quickly they could get support if needed.
Trump's desire was to have NG present to protect him and his supporters. Former Acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller told the House of Reps that he spoke to Trump on Jan 3. Trump had asked at that meeting whether or not the DC Mayor had requested NG troops for Jan 6. Trump told Miller to "fill" the request. "Do whatever is necessary to protect demonstrators that were executing their constitutionally protected rights.
In summary, the Speaker of the House isn't in charge of Capitol security, so she wasn't the one that "refused" any additional security.
