Is that metal with the condensation on in the top pic?
Doubt is not a pleasant condition.

The metallised coating? It definitely looks like condensation on it. Might be worth gluing a strip of wood on it but yeah go with the fan you spotted I think

it is metabolised. is the strip just to keep condensation off of it???

fan and Metal Hole Saw, Circle Cutter Drill Bit ordered. I have a timer plug already.

Yes. My theory is that 'cold' stuff like metal and glass is where condensation tends to form and it looks like that's what's happened with the coating. (It's normally a moisture barrier so it makes sense to me - wood tends to breathe iyswim).

The fan might stop it but I'd cover it anyway.
