Atmospheric scattering means the space ones must be pretty impressive and the battery packs must need some heavy lifting to get them up there. Impressive tech for MTGs terrrrists to have. Hmm. 50kW is still military grade. There are engineering ones rated at that but the trick is to get continuous output. Lots of one shot lasers are rated as high power because they release the energy in a fraction of a second pulse.

The RNLI, and the volunteers who work for them , should not have to rescue migrants coming across the channel - but the government and border force refuse to take any affirmative action.

Priti/Suella/ Boris/ Rees Mogg etc should be working on stopping people getting into boats and using their paid employees to do so.
But we, as the RNLI, will not let people drown - whether it is pissed up Essex boys on jetskis off Southend, or illegal migrants in the channel.
