The world's gone mad. A parent surely has a duty to show the child a mistake?

There's some kind of sub-text at play here. The teacher who grassed the head up was 'the designated lead for safeguarding' and was either taking her role way too seriously or was after the head teacher's job... I wouldn't last five minutes in an environment like that.

Reading between the above and other lines the two of them had 'history'.

And the Trust failed miserably in investigating and handling the complaint. Safeguarding complaint = automatic sacking is NOT the way to go. Trust me, I am the Safeguarding Trustee of a significant-sized Trust.

Lee Anderson defects to Reform UK. No real surprise, but I bet Sunak isn't happy!

Well, that's 3 parties he's been in, just needs the Lib Dems and Greens for a full set.

So all the Tory MPs who so desperately avoided calling Lee Anderson racist will now be able to do so!

Be interesting to see if they do (or not).

I suspect a key number of erstwhile Tory voters will think exactly that about Sunak. ;)

Not sure if I've dreamt this up, but didn't the government downgrade shoplifting quite a few months back. Strangely SL is now out of control. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Brexit is a disaster - official. 'Britain has not managed to cope with Brexit' - report
Britain has still not managed to cope with Brexit despite a huge increase in the size of its civil service, according to a new report.

A study by think tank UK in a Changing Europe has concluded that the British government still does not have a coherent plan to deal with the EU eight years after the vote to leave.

The report states that Brexit was a major factor in the hiring of 100,000 extra civil servants since the EU referendum in 2016.

The expansion was necessary to take over functions and responsibilities from the EU.

However, the report found that with changing ministers and political turbulence, the government has failed to come up with a strategic vision for Brexit.
Who'd have thought that eh?

Just to make things clear for some of the hard of learning on here, none of that is down to, or the fault of the people who voted 'Leave'.

Thank you.

Notice that he will be campaigning on "freedoms" and not "benefits".

The "freedom" to cripple the UK economy perhaps?

Controversy as short-arsed, snuffling, soon-to-die dog wins Crufts award for, presumably, still being able to draw breath...

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyl ... ch-bulldog

Every Frenchie I meet when I walk my hound seems to be on the verge of dying of asthma and runs like it's in the throes of an epileptic fit. I feel sorry for the little fuckers, them and Pugs, as they seem to be bred to an aesthetic that people love, yet does the dog no favours in life.

But then The Kennel Club seems to love awarding rosettes for crippled dogs...
