Long and enough ups and downs to be a challenge, gorgeous scenery, yet always close enough to bail out for a day and sit in a pub if your feet hurt.

Re: Camino de Santiago
I've booked my sabbatical leave, May and June 2025. Nothing has interested me as much as Camino de Santiago so I'll be spending a few weeks walking across the top of Spain. I'm off to that region in May this year, but on the bike.
I walked the four miles into work this morning for the first time in months, mainly because the weather has been so wet. I feel good for it though I took some ibuprofen before setting out

If you're there on the bike, see if you can find Torquemada*, I seem to remember that area being rather pleasant.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 7:18 am I've booked my sabbatical leave, May and June 2025. Nearest I am staying is Leon for a few nights. Torquemada is a 1.5 hour, straight line hack from there. I will keep it in mindRockburner wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 8:54 amIf you're there on the bike, see if you can find Torquemada*, I seem to remember that area being rather pleasant.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 7:18 am I've booked my sabbatical leave, May and June 2025. I'd love to do it. I won't though as I doubt I currently have the fitness and it'd probably accelerate the wear on my mechanical knees. But I think it'd be a wonderful thing for a bit of soul searching and quiet contemplation on life etc.
