Re: In todays news...
There was some interesting stuff on 'excess mortality' rates on 'More or Less' on R4 this morning. The 5 year average gets reduced in usefulness by unusual peaks in total deaths like a pandemic. Unfortunately there's a lot of focus on it when it's at its least useful. All the deaths in those peak years gets rolled in to the average, so lo! in a normal year following an abnormal peak excess deaths may magically appear to go down etc.
So they've tried to change the calculation...which, of course, has the 'vaccine kills' mob in a froth.

Seems that the thieving scumbags were at it over here
The main high profile twat is president of our biggest football team. Might not be very famous outside here, but they're currently 8th in Spanish La Liga.
This is gonna be a high profile case.

It's the same people/ The people saying there's not enough data now are the people who said the "vaccine" was safe and effective then.

Re: In todays news...
Did they write it on the side of a bus?
Or rather, have it printed onto a thin plastic film that was stuck to the side of a bus?
Correction: The film would have been stuck to the side of the bus after being printed on, not printed on when stuck to the side of the bus.

Re: In todays news...
Surely those quote marks belong around "safe". Or is there some argument that it's not actually a vaccine Maybe we should ask Bill Gates.

Re: In todays news...
Safe enough and effective enough compared to (a) the rules (b) the alternative.
Every single new vaccine ever produced does not come with a promise of "won't kill you in 25 years". Yes, things can go wrong but it's rare. We can read the label, we can ask the doctor, we can make our own choices - but don't lets make thoughtless and really ignorant choices based upon some weird prejudice.
But this is the problem with herd vaccine medication - folk don't get vaccined because they think they're invulnerable or are 'prepared to take the risk <because of reasons - very few of which are legitimate>' but they don't consider that if they get the illness or are somehow just a carrier then they become responsible for spreading it to countless others. Your nan, my nan, someone else's nan, that fat bloke who might have had another ten years with his wheezy chest.
Folk like my sister-in-law don't get vaccinated because 'facebook said not to' and instead self-cleanse with unlabelled Chinese tea remedies and shit their pants in bed. She hasn't died of covid and and is now happily telling everyone covid and the vaccines are bullshit because she's proved it.

I've not died of Covid (or anything else AFAIK) and I've had the vaccine.
So that's me and Deffys sister cancelling each other out in the data Just need a few million more points now.

My Mrs had a double pulmonary embolism this time last year. She'd had three jabs at the time.
I've had three jabs and haven't have a double pulmonary embolism.
Hope this helps.

Seems like it, but it now appears to be a one-way street. Don't hold your breath for the white-only performance.Mussels wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 7:07 pmIs apartheid back to being a good thing now?irie wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 6:56 pm Up front racism.

Re: In todays news...
As far as I know, every single new vaccine ever* produced has been tested on willing volunteers for 10 years or so before being deemed safe enough to release to the general public. As I said at the time, either the COVID vaccine was released without sufficient testing or the pharmaceutical companies are dragging their feet testing other vaccines. You can't have it both ways.DefTrap wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 4:57 pmSafe enough and effective enough compared to (a) the rules (b) the alternative.

* Not literally ever, of course. I don't think Edward Jenner tested his cowpox/smallpox idea on several thousand volunteers. And history doesn't record how willing eight-year-old James Phipps, his first experimental subject was.
