Silly Season Starts Early
Wow. He gets a Pramac Ducati. I'm sure Bagnaia will have a full factory jobby, so there'll be a few big names chasing the other 2 factory spec bikes
Bastianin, Bez, Martin and MM to name a few.
Hmm

Franco Morbidelli must be looking anxiously over his shoulder. He will need an absolutely stellar year to keep his seat for 2025. The other rider that I would be keeping a close eye on if I were a MotoGP team manager is David Alonso in Moto3. He looked the real deal last year.

I'm glad Vermin didn't end up at Repsol Honda,no one needs that for a start, but yeah, the Spanish and Italian talent pool gets ever deeper and there are more bums than seats. I can see WSBK being a beneficiary.

Looks like the 'if you're not on a Ducati you're not winning the Motogp championship' theme continues unabated.

When the Japanese bikes are fighting with each other just to get the last available point (assuming none of the European bikes falls over) its a huge turnaround in a very few years

Re: Silly Season Starts Early
If the Aprilia had an elite rider on board, we might see a surprise.
Martin and Fab Frog will be available soon. And maybe MM ?
And a little less so, the KTM.

Re: Silly Season Starts Early
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Fab Frog on the 'Priller next year. Or either of Enea or Jorge, depending on who gets the Factory Ducati seat. Top Gun really needs some results or he'll be shown the door, I think.

According to gossip, the wheels are already in motion to bring Fabio to Aprilia.

I hope so - I think he's precisely the rider they need.

It must be hard for him,he's young,he knows he can beat those other riders over a season, yet the clock's ticking and people forget he's a world champion. Soul destroying,no matter what money is changing hands.

Folk remember the amazing 1 time champions like Schwantz, Hayden , Gardner and Fab Frog.Yorick wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 9:25 pmI bet more folk forget that Mir is a former champion.
Some world champs like KrJr, Criville and Mir don't get the same respect.

Fab Frog signs for Yamaha. Blimey, I was sure he'd jump ship.

Re: Silly Season Starts Early
I was convinced he was Aprilia-bound as well. He must have seen something at Yamaha that convinced him to stay, and sign a two year deal at that.
So one piece of the jigsaw puzzle is in place. Who will Aprilia chase now - Jorge Martin? Marc Marquez? They really need a proven winner if they want to take the next step up.
