I've got around £20Ks worth of bikes in the garage, it just seems to have built up over the last few yeats.

And RE the fairing bit, I think you need to ride a few other bikes , you might learn something - I did multiple tours (Highlands, France, Italy, Germany and Austria) on both my MT10s, had them both flat out and could comfortably cruise at 110-120 with just the relatively small screen you can see (or of course not see in the case of @Yorick ) in this pic

It cannot give what a sports bike gives. @Yorick "cooking" bikes is pretty derogatory for a start, but also a very subjective thing.
You can have a brand new cb300r for £4.5k. Let's call that a cooking bike, being about the first (next) thing over a 125.
I know very well that you don't want one but, even though I understand the difference in materials and technology, you'd have a hard time convincing me a new R1 is worth 4 cb300r's and still with £7k change to buy an earlier big bang R1.
You can have a brand new cb300r for £4.5k. Let's call that a cooking bike, being about the first (next) thing over a 125.
I know very well that you don't want one but, even though I understand the difference in materials and technology, you'd have a hard time convincing me a new R1 is worth 4 cb300r's and still with £7k change to buy an earlier big bang R1.

I can afford whatever bike I want now (never could when I was younger), but when looking to buy a new bike, I kept to my requirements, not my wants. Hence ending up with an NC750X.
However, if I were to find a decent KTM RC8R out here, I would definately buy it. But seeing they are as rare as hens teeth, i doubt I will find one. Even the local KTM dealer has never had one in his workshop, or an RC8.
