Friday thread, the last one of Feb

Post by weeksy »

Shortish month so the last weekend of Feb.

The weather still isn't really playing ball but i must admit it's looking quite nice out there today.

Fri. Chilling at home, prepping, testing, checking bikes and kit for the weekend.
Sat. Practice day, Forest of Dean, he's out riding the track, i'm out meeting a mate for cake and beers. Home for food in the evening
Sun. Early start, race day being pit-crew for the boy. The home to the aftermath and destruction of mud !

Today I woke up in Malta. Will do a bit of work, assess the fall out from resigning yesterday, then fly home tonight.
This weekend is likely to involve the plumbing I didn't do last weekend 🤣

It snowed last night :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

Unfortunately it had rained yesterday afternoon and the frozen before the snow    Nice (not) layer of ice under the fresh snow. So I’m walking around like I’m 104 quietly panicking that I’ll slip and be out of action for the weekend

Anyway. This afternoon working in the office. Then an early night

Tomorrow - almost certainly a very early start as the roads will be the worst tomorrow of the whole season. I am hoping i go to GVA and not Lyon as the motor show is on and that means awesome engine noises in the tunnels :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

Sunday, more driving and definitely GVA, so am hoping to hear/see some fab cars 🤞🏻🤞🏻

EDIT: I was misinformed :( :(. Mother show isn’t this weekend :( :( :( :(

The forecast is for a dry weekend and snow on Monday. We’re all crossing fingers madly that it doesn’t snow tomorrow as the roads will be even worse carnage than they will be without snow
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Massive weekend for us! It’s my Sons 30th on Saturday and my Wife’s 60th on Monday. So we have my daughter and her other half arriving tomorrow and my sister and her other half too!

Tomorrow night we’re out to a massive Turkish restaurant which has live singers and dancing etc. Sunday we’re having a Sunday roast for everyone. Monday, after over 30 years together I,m finally giving in and buying my good lady a diamond ring. It’s sort of (very late) engagement ring and 60th birthday present in one.She doesn’t know this and will be both surprised and over the moon. Then Monday night we’re off to the local Miller & Carter with the older members of the family.

Friday; just done a 5.5 mile dog walk around the forest pushing the old dog in his buggy around a lot of hills and muddy trails. Sweaty mess now. Lazy afternoon watching TV.

Sat and Sun, weather dodging dog walks and MTB/cycling. Beers Sat night and then chill out day Sunday preparing for an H&S course next week (just been elected Union H&S rep).
