Orange headlight cover: Legality and efficacy
I personally feel more noticed in amongst a sea of cars when I have an orange headlight, especially in murky weather or in the rain. Would the wisdom of the forum agree?
Also, is it legal in the UK? It’s an extremely common addition in South Africa where the law is ambiguous enough to get away with it.
Am I setting myself up for a fine here?

Only yellow and white are legal in the uk.
Maybe it's the photo but that's closer to a tail light colour than I'd like and would be asking for trouble in terms of a pull and the risk of a head on collision.

My CB1000R has the indicators on all the time as DRLs, it confuses a lot of other road users, I wish I could turn them off.

I've got yellow ones on my XJ6 and Hornet and never had an issue. I use them less 'to be seen by drivers' than to help trainees see where I am in their mirrors, particularly when I'm mixed in with other traffic behind them.

I had a 2022 Grom and it was quite easy to take out the extra feed wire at the indicator connection inside the headlamp. After working out which wire is which a very small blade can be used from the open side to press down the locking tab of the metal contact and the pin will pull out from the plug and be isolated. I used that feed for separate daytime running lights mounted above the headlamp. When I sold the grom it was easy enough to put the contact pin back into the plug.

Why not just buy an odd colour LED? Orangey yellow is going to be 3000k approx
