Alexei Navalny: Putin critic dies after 'losing consciousness' at maximum security prison
No doubt Putin believes that Navalny's death reinforces his domestic reputation as a strong man, but at the same time is most likely to strengthen the resolve of those who support Ukraine and resist any negotiations with Russia.

I rather suspect this was a case of unfortunate timing. Clearly they have been slowly killing Navalny for years and for him to die now was just the result of those years of incarceration and deprivation.

One of the unforeseen results of the Putin/Carlson interview is that Putins historical ramble has really pissed off China. They are now looking very closely at Vladivostok. That interview might cost Putin dearly...

Does look like Putin is rapidly increasing the number of his enemies, both inside and outside Russia ...

I think Putin sees everyone as an enemy or at best a potential enemy.

And Putin came up though the ultimate school of paranoia in the KGB.

To him, he's not serving the state, he IS the state and everyone is out to get him.

He's like Stalin before the end, only without the purges.

Here's another "conspiracy theorist nutjob", often mistaken for perhaps one of the most knowledgeable and trustworthy politicians in the USA. So much so that the FBI/CIA keep murdering his family to keep the wheels of the military industrial complex spinning at an ever increasing rate.

For those who do not use X, he goes on about it being an issue over NATO, the failure to find a political solution, a scam for money laundering tax dollars into global corporations and of course, a keystone for the WEF and BlackRock's ambition towards world domination.

What a conspiracy nutjob. I mean, what does he know about anything? Bloody Kennedy's always warmongering. Uh. Or is it the other way round?

Anyway, he's saying exactly the same thing as I have for the past few years, so it must be bollocks right?

Or are people beginning to see this for what it is and secretly "knew this all along"...

Ah. So, more rhetoric. Why don't you just say "conspiracy theorist" and be done with it. I guess you can't now that these things have come to pass. So just lob the occasional non specific insult to make yourself feel better.

Generally speaking, if you have nothing to say, best say nothing. There is a war going on which has every opportunity to go ballistic. Thank fuck it looks like Trump will get back into office or we'd be knocked back into the stone age.

...and I don't just mean if it goes all tits up and the nukes start flying. BlackRock now own about a third of Ukraine. Do you think that means cheaper prices for all of us now that the worlds biggest asset management company has it's hands on the bread basket of Europe? How about oil and gas? Are things going to get better now the USA have run Russia so far into the ground they are indebted to China, N. Korea and even Iran?

Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Unless of course you have shares in BlackRock (I guess we all do I suppose) but also Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin etc. etc. Sounds great when you're playing Monopoly with the worlds money but mother Earth is not an infinite resource unlike this ridiculous fiat money which has devalued everything we hold dear.

Oh, no. Just more pointless, meaningless rhetoric. I honestly don't know why you guys bother. What do you get out of being so boring and mindless?

I was paying you a compliment. You chose to insult me.

Makes you a moron.

@Screwdriver I really don't know why you bother, I really don't. Aren't you sick and tired of seeing all your posts ridiculed and dismissed as conspiracy theories? I know that I'm one of the people contributing to this, but I do wonder about the impact all these negative responses to your posts are having on your psyche/mental health. Do you take all this stuff seriously or is it just a game to you? If it's just a game, then fair enough. But if this is stuff you really, honestly believe then wouldn't you be better off seeking the company of others of like mind rather than those who so obviously disagree?

It's all getting just too ridiculous for words.

LOL. Critical thinking is not your forté then.

I should draw a diagram really but bear with me. Maybe switch on the other brain cell, you might need both of them for this:

I (carefully) said "You're pretending to be a moron" but if as you say now your "but it's entertaining" was actually a deliberate "joke" at my expense, clearly you were being serious; ergo, you negate the pretence of being a moron and literally admit to it.

If this was NOT a deliberately moronic statement, then it would not have been made by a moron. Turns out it was. I didn't say that, you did.

Now I have to be careful here because while @weeksy says that when anyone makes a direct insult, they get kicked what he really means is that it's only Screwdriver who gets kicked and his threads locked. Everyone else can just fire off willy nilly and I just have to put up with it. Incredibly, it's nearly always you...

Why is that I wonder? Why are you even in this thread?

But anyhow, I'm sure you'll get your way. Again.

An interesting point. Bit of both I suppose. Firstly, the ridicule and dismissive "conspiracy theory" jibes literally bounce off me because I can see that the facts nearly always prove otherwise. Eventually. I take some delight in pointing this out every time the wheel turns and Russia does invade, the Hunter Biden laptop is verified, Joe Biden is finally seen for what he is (sadly suffering from dementia which I take no delight in seeing but it was there for anyone to see frankly), someone takes a pot shot at Trump a day after I wonder out loud if they really would...

Well there's a ton of such "conspiracy" nonsense, I am sure you're familiar with them all. But Ukraine is A BIG ONE. The Biden mafia (sorry but it's true) are guilty of allowing this shitshow to continue, in fact deliberatle extending the conflict to suit the global agenda of the real power behind this empty puppet president. This is fantastically serious stuff and I have to say it literally amazes me that so many erstwhile sensible folk in this forum (not you @Yorick) refuse to see the obvious until it has played out.

I am not quite sure why that is. I think people simply don't want to believe just how evil and corrupt the system has become and how powerful this inexorable drive to a totalitarian regime run by global corporate interest has become. It saddens me because the inevitable response when these things come to pass is "there's nothing anyone can do". That is defeatist.

What's worse is when the response is more "well it won't change anything anyway" and "why worry". I don't really worry, they're not coming for me. I might fall foul of all the new anti free speech legislation (probably sooner rather than later) but it's the middle class they're after. I am not the target demographic. You are...
