You misunderstand the meaning of the amendment.
It is about 'enemies of the state'.
70 million Americans aren't enemies of the State.
As for the Biden DOJ report, they absolutely destroyed any thoughts that he is mentally competent & stated he isn't fit to stand trial... so they didn't charge him. He couldn't remember when he became VP, when he left the office of VP & got the death of his son wrong by * several years*.
Diminished faculties was used to describe his memory, as was "painfully slow" & stated that he struggled to read his own notebook entries.
WH press secretary Karine Jean-Goebbels has pretty much gone into hiding.
It's not about Biden, it's about whether Trump acted as below.
US Constitution Fourteenth Amendment wrote:
Section 3 Disqualification from Holding Office
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

The problem with that is, it lists who it applies to... & doesn't list the President.. who (along with everyone else who was in DC on Jan 6th) hasn't been charged with insurrection or rebellion. Which the SCOTUS mentioned several times today.
Oddly enough, this part: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, could be applied to VP Harris & have her disqualified from holding office thanks to some of the dumb shit she's said & done... which means if Biden dies, she gets thrown out on her ass & the (Republican) Speaker becomes POTUS.
& it could also be applied to the various officials trying to have Trump struck off the ballots.
Looks like the SCOTUS will come down 9-0 in favor of Trump.
It's like car crash tv. I'm not sure any Hollywood writers could come up with the whole Presidential elections or general US politics storylines.
The US is now a political joke across the rest of the world. If these two candidates are the best the US can offer then it really doesn't say alot for the rest of the US population.
In a race to the bottom, the US is very much the biggly winningest again.
I think that first, someone is going to have to define who the enemies of the state are. The US spies on every country on the planetso it could be argued that they are all enemies or potential enemies depending on what's going on at the time, who is in power/office both in the US and every other country on the planet and so on.
Potentially, every President that has ever spoken to a Russian leader could be accused of that line. It's both a catch all and means nothing without context.
It's also typical of American thinking - "If you're not my friend you're my enemy and you're only a friend while it suits us."

Bottom line is both Biden AND Trump are unfit to run.
+ just because Biden is less than ideal, it doesn't somehow make Trump a valid option. Heck, even if he was standing against Cthulhu* it wouldn't make him a good option.
* Actually 'ran' in 2012 and 2016, 'Vermin Supreme' also in 2016.

It does state who it applies to. The question is whether the PotUS is an officer of the Uhited States.

True. But Biden is more unfit to run than Trump.
Biden displays the key symptoms of dementia.
Trump will cream it.
Really? Watch Trump walking, he drags his right leg, classic signs of someone who's had a stroke. Some of his ramblings are as bad as Bidens, he mixed up Biden and Obama with each other? Then said Biden was going to start WW2? That was just this week. Trump also shows signs of dementia. Not saying Bidens fit but they're easily as bad as each other. As I said, race to the bottom.

So far this week Biden has:
Told people about speaking to two dead people (Kohl & Mitterand)
Thought Mitterand was the German Chancelor
Thought the President of Mexico was the President of Egypt (Told the President of Mexico to open the gate for humanitarian aid to get into Gaza)
Forgotten the name of Hamas.
And that was up to Thursday night.
& let's not forget that a few months ago he claimed that Putin was losing the war in Iraq.

I'm not saying that he hasn't got issues, but to hold Trump up as some fit, healthy, even moderately intelligent person who doesn't show any of the same dementia signs as Biden is pretty laughable.
Race to the bottom, the US should be seriously embarrassed by the whole shitshow of a political system. I know the US generally doesn't understand anything outside of their own borders. But they are very much becoming a laughing stock for the rest of the world.

Trump is a physically large, overweight elderly man, hell, sometimes I stumble and I'm nearly 30 years younger than him, he does show signs of "senior moments" but considering his brain constantly runs flat out, that's not surprising.
Biden OTOH, is exactly like my first F-I-L who had dementia, getting things mixed up, stopping mid sentence like he's buffering, calling people by the wrong name etc. Within a year Biden will be totally incapable or dead, never being elected.
Maybe there should be an upper age limit for candidates. Youthfulness was one of the main points of JFK's campaign.
The Hur report has put Biden in the position that he either needs to be charged or be removed from office. If he isn't fit to stand trial, then he isn't fit to hold office.. & if he is fit to hold office, then he needs to be charged as he's guilty of multiple felonies.

Isn't it the court that decides whether he's guilty or not? Or have you got a different legal system over there?

He had classified documents are various locations (including SCI TS, the top rating). At no point in history was he allowed to remove them from the secure locations where they were stored or where he was briefed on them. & He sure as shit wasn't allowed to discuss them with other people. There's no way he could be shown to be innocent of the crimes.
He's been briefed on security measures his entire 40+ year political career. He most certainly knew the relevant rules & laws when he illegally took the documents... & the ONLY reason he isn't being charged is because he's a doddering old fucker who isn't fit to hold office.

Not the ONLY reason.
Another reason could be because the alternatives to him look even worse.
