Get a cheap Lidl/Aldi compressor, FFS.

I tried two Lidl tyre compressors, the air lines on both soon broke so I gave up with them.

Do you mean the flexible air lines that plug into the compressor? Simple enough to buy a decent heavy duty air line.

I'm thinking of the 12v plug in ones, I don't think that could be changed

Ah, OK. I was thinking of the 240v ones with a tank and Euro-style connectors. Last time I remember seeing them in Lidl/Aldi they were about £80. They are portable (they have wheels), but not in the way that 12/18/24v ones are.

How often are you lot inflating tyres, both our cars are over 15 years old and the tyres don't need inflating between their annual services.

Mondeo...front o/s 5psi each week...front n/s 3psi. Both backs ok. Bikes always need a little top up. Can't be arsed with ciggy lighter one and foot pump was too much hard work.

I had an airhawk cordless before but that broke after about 366 days.

For electrical stuff I use frequently (> once a week) it's cordless all the way, otherwise nah it'll be dead when I want to use it.

I got one of them Makita ones also after i think Pietin posted up. Its great but could do with a trigger lock. I have six wheels and air suspension to keep topped up. My poor wee trigger finger gets tired.

I recently bought a Continental branded 12V pump, the type that are supplied with new cars instead of a spare wheel. Does what it's supposed to do and feels as well made as I'd expect. The power lead and the hose both tuck back inside the case so it stores well too, which is a bonus IMO.
