Van did an average of 34.32MPG having the 30 horses more. May be more as i did a days work on that tank of fuel before the remap and never noted the miles when i hit the trip button. 25/30 miles was driven like we stole it just playing on the hills with the extra Oomph and the rest was driving sensible. Well worth the £200

Got a customer who got me to paint one of them. Fantastic looking Bureau what was almost identical to yours. I did say are you sure but she wanted it to match in her office (Spare room) Thankfully its that shitty chalk paint and looks like it can easily be reversed. I bloody hate chalk paint and furniture that has need upcycled (Vandalised) by it.

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Went on the Bay of E and secured myself a Nikon (full frame) D600 camera body. Yesterday I sent it off to a place that specialises in converting DSLRs to infra-red imaging. They remove the standard filter and replace it with one that only lets through a specific (and narrow) wavelength of light. I went for 850nm, as that gives a pure monochrome image, but with good contrast.
Once I get it back and get the hang of it, expect to be bombarded with B&W infra-red images...

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
My Campervan has the worse Sony cd/radio in i've evr come across. I planned to bin that off and fit a double din Pioneer with apple play etc. Heard a few people with motorhomes fit cheap Chinese ones with good effect. So I found one on eBay for £58 and thought i might as well give it a punt as it wont be an expensive mistake. It arrived quickly and today I looked at what was needed to fit it. Turns out if fit straight onto the exisiting wire and within minutes I had carplay working! Thats all i need and its a massive saving over the £400+ cost of a Pioneer!

Downside is that it relays all your movements to the Chinese government so they can use it to help plan the dispersal pattern of the next virus

Not sure of the output quality but suspect the speakers are the stumbling point anyway. I no longer upgrade them as mrs Taipan doesn't like loud music, so not worth it.v8-powered wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 7:10 pm Is the sound quality any good? Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
A magazine called Classic Rock.
Never seen it before but I noticed it in the supermarket and it's all about the year 1984, what albums came out, which artists were around, what happened, scandals and even car accidents, the fella out of Def Lepard for example, etc.
It's not a bad read so far, but I've got magazines, books and newspapers coming out of my ears now, it'll take me a year to catch up.

2 x twin led batten lamps for the garage to replace the obsolete fluorescent one.
Bugger me, they're bright. Plus they weigh bugger all and none of that waiting for the tubes to fire up. A score each, so cheap as well.

Gender fluid.
One minute baking up a delicious tart, the next grappling with garage lighting up a step ladder.
All the while wearing heels and suspenders.
