2025 will be the first time he races an F1 car which doesn't have a Mercedes engine.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 6:16 pmHe's been with Merc over 10 years and has only driven 2 manufacturer's cars in his whole F1 career.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 6:12 pmStarted with great cars, won titles, then the cars STB & he bailed... sinking ships & all that....Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 5:21 pm Yeah loads of shit cars win back to back to back to back to back to back to back world titles
Hamilton also very nearly won his rookie season and then did win second one.
Clearly he's got whatever the opposite of the midas touch is
But we get it - you don't like him.
I'm sure Ferrari are delighted with their 'diversity hire' who has won more races and more championships than Senna and Prost combined

If it doesn't work out, he can always go back to the ghetto. Well Stevenage at least. I'm sure everyone would be very pleased to see him back in da hood. Drug dealing at Roaring Meg could be a a future career when the money runs out, or school teacher maybe. Gotta make a few quid to survive.
Only kidding Lewis!

Re: In todays news...
I thought it was a wind-up when the first reports broke, but it seems that Lewis has managed to keep the deal secret until he wanted to make it public, which is no mean feat. It also appears that the deal was brokered really quickly (in F1 terms, anyway) compared to the long, drawn out negotiations that characterised his Mercedes deals. He's basically wrong-footed everyone and made the switch with the same kind of aplomb and ruthlessness that is the hallmark of his overtaking moves on track.

No, no, no, looking forward to seeing Hamilton walking to circuits wearing a Ferrari outfit. Or maybe not.

I reckon Alonso and the Hulk should go for it.

I didn't say that, cause its not true
My Dad was a proper slug balancer when he was my age, whereas I have a geography teacher/70s soft rock guitarist/tomorrow's world presenter beard.
Alonso is making me reconsider

Re: In todays news...
Which is pretty much the career path for any champion, Senna dumped McLaren for Williams, Piquet going from Brabham to Wiiliams, you'd be insane not to go to where the best car is, unless the offer you a shit ton of money to stay.ZRX61 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 6:12 pmStarted with great cars, won titles, then the cars STB & he bailed... sinking ships & all that....Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 5:21 pm Yeah loads of shit cars win back to back to back to back to back to back to back world titles

With the exception of MSC and Prost, going to Ferrari is generally a retirement plan.
