The gods smile down upon you for now,but be aware they are a very fickle bunch. :silent:

I like to believe in mysteries and odd stuff,it's the closest I get to religion.

I found a couple of books today at a secondhand store, I bought them, got home, made a brew and as I opened the first one I was commenting to my wife about how I needed a new bookmark because I've got so many books on the go that I'm losing my places - a few seconds after I finished saying that a bookmark fell out of the book, not just any bookmark, a fancy hand drawn one, very intricate drawings and painting, with our surname in fancy scroll letters on it.

This sort of stuff is happening a couple of times a day this last week
To be fair, your surname could be someone's nickname.

Buy a lottery ticket this weekend!

I think coincidence is just luck in a canny situation.

Having your surname on it though is a bit spooky unless your surname is Smith or Clarke or something else popular!

If you have had the same facebook account forever your name tends to be in the URL no mater how many time you change your name in settings. Not sure when they changed but now it tends to just say profile.php?id=00000000000 <whatever you profile number is.

Fair enough, that is the one I thought was your real surname

Someone's gonna tell me Cheesy's last name isn't actually Boolean, aren't they?

Because I'm originally from Doncaster... I know that Mr Boole (although not from Doncaster) came up with Boolean while teaching in Doncaster.

Also Butterscotch was invented in Doncaster and it's the home of the fastest steam trains and Kevin Keegan, Diana Rigg, etc..

I know that from watching Local Heroes with Adam Hart-Davis and getting the tie in book for Christmas one year. I'd guess 1997.
