Re: WSBK 2024 champion
Alvaro is the safe option,as he's a known quantity. We don't know how JR will go on the Yam,or Tophat on the Beemer.
I'd reckon the two of them will go well and bother Bautista, but lack the outright consistency needed for the championship.
It's also worth considering the dark horses of Iannone and Sam Lowes. Lots of factors to make things potentially interesting.
I'll take a punt on JR,as he's a man who will dig deep if he has half a bike.

No Rossi on the poll?

Only 5 seconds off the pace, on a 2021 R1 he was given as a present by Yamaha... bet it's Superstock spec at best!

Re: WSBK 2024 champion
I'm confused.
Today was official WSBK test at Portimao

But some other dudes were supposed to be at a private Ducati day there today

Bulega is definitely making things interesting, even though it's just testing...

I think he's going to put Alvaro's nose properly out of joint. From what I can see Alvaro is not enjoying carrying an extra 6 kilos of ballast on his bike at all.

Re: WSBK 2024 champion
This looks dodgy in my book. Race at 7:00 with sunset at 8:30. It's a scary circuit as it is, but a low sun is not gonna help. And the crowds will have gone home by then

Re: WSBK 2024 champion
Yes, I'm not at all sure about that. Portimao has some pretty drastic elevation changes and coming over the brow of a hill straight into the setting sun would be mega-scary. It would also be scary going from full bright to deep shadow in the reverse situation. Sunset time at Portimao on 10th August is 20:31, so by the time the race is finished sunset would be only half an hour away.Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 8:13 pm This looks dodgy in my book. I think the organisers need to reconsider.

Re: WSBK 2024 champion
Bulega could shake things up a bit among the usual 3 that normally win everything. I know its only testing but he was consistent throughout each day and each venue.
