So Baldwin said it went off without pulling the trigger, the FBI broke the gun (dismantled?), someone reassembled it and declared it was working perfectly at the time of the shooting. Do they not see what's wrong with that?

He's already been found culpable & ordered to pay out $Millions in the civil trial. He's also been unable to keep his mouth shut & given different versions of what happened in several interviews.
He's admitted to "releasing the hammer" which if his finger was even lightly resting on the trigger would have fired the gun. That would have turned the double action gun into a single action gun.

Does it matter what he did with it if he was convinced it wasn't going to actually fire bullets?

Based on what I know about the event (which admittedly isn’t much, so I’m not sure on this), I would say there’s more likely a case for corporate manslaughter charges against the production company rather than individual charges against an actor.
Baldwin was also the producer...

So why does he keep changing his story? Fucker probably put the live rounds in it himself because of his ego.

How the fuck do I know. Maybe he's scared of internet wankers deciding he's guilty who were not actually there.

FFS all this should never even be discussed in public, it should be taken care of quietly and sorted in the court system, if necessary.

There's people who've killed someone here and lost someone and all you can do is be a fucking vulture pulling someone's life apart who you've never met based upon nothing more than internet gossip and bollocks

Yeah, he planned the whole thing. Cunningly got live ammo onto the film site so folk could shoot tin cans, bribed the armourer to load a few rounds into gunny so he could demonstrate something on the set and kill the victim (who in a side plot was going to reveal him as necromancer who eats babies hearts under a full moon at the equinox).

Dang! He'd have got away with it if it hadn't been for those pesky internet keyboard jockeys that don't like him.

My opinion of him is based on the run ins he's had with the public, the media, the cops & child protective services etc (none of which is internet gossip & bollocks). He's in ignorant, egotistical, alky, child abusing twunt.
I look forward to your defense of his drunken tirade against his daughter... (the audio is online)

I don't need to defend him as a person, he can be the biggest arsehole in the world for all i care. The simple fact is, that doesn't necessarily mean he's a cold blooded killer who shot someone deliberately and it's not really right that you've tried and hung him without anything more than a few random gossip sites say so.
I don't honestly give a shit either way whether he's innocent or guilty, it affects my life 0%. But you seem to have this little crusade that you're on because you've heard he's a bad person.

....and a Democrat.

"Baldwin is a Democrat and endorsed Barack Obama in his two presidential campaigns. He serves on the board of People for the American Way. He is an animal rights activist and a staunch supporter of PETA, for which he has done work that includes narrating the video entitled Meet Your Meat."

That's enough to get a lynch party going for certain people in the good ol' USA.

Well, yeah. I'm not American, never owned a gun, never held a real gun and even I know not to point one at a person and pull the trigger.

That's not to say I think he meant harm, quite the opposite. Why would he?

It's just a series of avoidable mistakes by multiple people that led to a tragic outcome.

Why not though ? If i'm playing Nerf guns with my lad i'm happy to point the gun at him and fire... As i know it won't kill him.

Assuming we believe that he didn't know it was going to shoot real bullets, then essentially it's no worse than a toy/nerf gun is it ? Therefore pointing it and going "peow peow" at someone is the first thing i'd do in reality...

Hang on.

Your saying you would point a real gun at someone without checking it was loaded and go 'peow peow'!

So your admitting you would do exactly what he done right?

IMO if you have a real gun in your control messing around and pointing it at people for a laugh loaded or not loaded is never going to go down well, unless your some sort of gangster from compton who wants to pop a cap in someones ass, then it's fine!

He was told it wasn't a real gun. It's not a real gun if it's not supposed to be allowed to fire real bullets. It's then a pretend gun.

I think i would still refrain from pointing it at someone though, unless of course i was asked to as part of my job (acting) but i think i would still check it over a bit before pulling the trigger rather than rely on someone elses words.

Was he told that? I thought he was told the gun was "cold" or "safe" this could just mean the gun isn't loaded, not that it is completely incapable of firing.

From what I understand there are levels of prop guns, some are made of rubber or some such and are easily identifiable just by feel. Others are blank firing with the all the weight and action of a real gun which they could well be.
If he's using a blank firer with the shooting action all working, then he needs to take care. There's been accidents in the past with blank firing guns, most notable Brandon Lee's death from one. Someone who has been around guns and handling them most of their lives like him should be aware of basic safety.

A nerf gun is a completely different situation. Nerf guns do not have, nor have ever, had the capability of causing injury. Unless you bash some body over the head with them :) So taking your nerf example, if someone gave you a real metal working replica, would you still point it at your kids and start pulling the trigger?

I don't think he's guilty of murder. I don't even think he's guilty of manslaughter. I just think it was a series of mistakes that led to a tragic accident.
