Pics?
RS built several, all to customer spec, but warrantied by Honda as official models, iirc.

This spec/paint was the poster boy of the range tho'

Dafuq is that lower body work?

I can't work out if it's really shonky carbon, or "wood effect" or what?

Love the bike though  It comes with a matching fleece. How 90s is that!

IIRC it's all carbon, but painted.

It's so polished it's reflecting the wooden floor.

It's the reflection of the 'vintage' floorboards in the belly pan.

That'd certainly explain why I couldn't tell if it was carbon or wood

I'm normally the one moaning about weight, anything over 150kg is a fat slob of a bike, but they don't all feel terrible depending on how they're balanced and suspended. Or you just accept them and ride them for what they are, like the CBX1000 which weighs about 250kg but if you like that sort of thing then you'd be very happy riding it.
If you don't want to go very fast the CB400 Super Four is a better bike to ride than the CB1100.

but doesn't have 30 years of material fatigue.

If you import one from Japan.

How many of the ones landed in the UK today are less than 20 years old?

I know you're not concerned about budget, but the Z600RS is budget and looks decent I reckon. At £5.5k cheap run around

They're exactly the same as the 550 Zephyr that was imported to the UK apart from having smaller pistons, it has the old Z400J / Z550 engine that became the GPZ600R engine.

You could buy a 550 Zephyr and do it yourself or pay someone to do it, loads of engine spares for them as the GT550 had the same engine.

I don't like the shape of the frame of the 550 and 1100 Zephyr, if I was buying a Zephyr it would be the 750, but they're all good bikes (despite the 1100 having the heaviest motorcycle engine I've ever lifted)

My daughter has just announced that she's expecting her first child :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Her z650rs in green and gold, 23 plate 1950 miles, excellent condition, is up for sale.

She's sad to say goodbye to motorcycling for a while, but I'm glad she's not doing anything too risky either.

PM me if anyone is, or knows of someone who's looking.

Thanks.

Is that the standard tail piece? I'm sure it's not THAT long on the 550.
