We're still at mates, got to bed about 5.

In Kat's Kitchen, Chiang Mai. The kitchen is slow and it looks like we'll be late for the Muay Thai.
However, if the food is as good as we've been told . . . not a problem.

Turkey dinner all done, family all gone home, just me, wife and the boy.
I'm going to stick a film on, make a nice cup of tea and relax.

Just about to leave the roof of the Lao Poet hotel in Vientiane. The sun has just set (unfortunately behind what is probably another hotel) and we've finished our second pina colada so it's time to get sorted and find somewhere to eat tonight.
It's M's birthday today so she'll probably go for something more regular rather than the scorpion and cockroach she wolfed down a few days back.

Last day in Laos.
Returned the electric trike, had my hair cut and now drinking tea. Airport transfer due in 90 minutes or so.
Vientiane is quiet for a capital city and surprisingly clean and tidy. Laos people are friendly and don't try to rip you off. Street food excellent!
Weather forecast for Hanoi is rain/showers for our 4 days there. Whatever, can't dictate the weather.

The TV keeps going on about the UK and US ganging up on Hootie, I reckon if we're going to bomb him we should get the blowfish too.

It only ever skirts across the southern edge of the UK, but you can still see it reasonably OK. I'm still trying to spot a SpaceX Dragon capsule, in theory you'll be able to see them fly over (nearly) when they're on their way to the ISS, but the weather and lighting need to be just right. No clouds (obvs) and just after sunset/before sunrise. I just wanna watch one launch live on YouTube then spot it come over my house 10 mins later.

Drinking pretty nasty coffee. Might nick the cup tho, handy for work!!
Macdonalds coffee is stupidly bitter - just nasty - but at least it’s caffeine and that’s the bit I need right now!!

Re: A right now thread
Not today, but yesterday - suddenly thought having a gravel bike would be good idea.
Facebook marketplace yields approximately 6 that would fit the bill - so PMs sent
Only one replies ... and that now appears that it will be too small.
Why do people post ads and then never bother to reply?
Fuck it - never really wanted one anyway.
