Well done, Weeksy!
I just keep the lights on and the door open...
A bit more than that. Thankyou, and please keep up the good work, it is appreciated.

So it's 6 weeks until renewal of service with our hosts.

Apart from a day of messing with the hosts I think it's gone fairly well so will keep with our current hosts.

Sadly due to me throwing some of the forum funds at the Cycling Forum I built I'm a little short in the finances, but that's on me not you lot and it'll only be temporary as forum funds will catch up when people renew.

We're over 285,000 posts on here now and doing well I think.

As long as everyone is happy, we're all good.

Is there a way of paying subs that doesn't involve Paypal?

I can't login to my Paypal account. I have two factor authentication but changed my phone number, so can't recieve the login code text message. I can't message Paypal because I need to be logged in. I've tried phoning them, it's an automated system that requires the phone number associated with my account, which it then can't recognise. It's impossible to contact a human who works there. I'll have another go in a while, but a very frustating process that goes in a loop.

For various reasons of hosting, bandwidth, DNS and a couple of other things i just didn't see it was going to work out. But by that time i'd thrown a few quid at the plan/plans. Lesson learned.

Could you noy have just used the free forum version of this software? If that took off then make it all grown up. Saying that i am presuming they still do a free version.

It wasn't the software that cost anything it was the DNS, hosting, SSLs etc. The software used (PHBbb) was exactly the same for this one as the one i setup. Either way, as i say, it's not on you guys, that's on me and i've covered it.

Let us know roughly how much you’re in the hole for the costs and I’m sure we’ll all chip in to cover it - no one wants you to be out of pocket on it.
