The Dubai lounge is possibly the least good one out of all the ones I've been to, it's not bad, hence why I say "least good, ", but it's not as good as Manchester or Heathrow for example. I think it's because you can get into it just by having the right credit card and as a perk you can use the business lounge, or other perks which means basically anyone can go in, whereas you're only getting into the Manchester First or Business Class lounges if you're actually travelling at that class.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 4:56 pm
I remember the first class booths being bigger than that - and with a bigger screen. Maybe time has made me forget. As you say the bathroom was something else - as were the really annoying air staff. "Would sir like to eat now?" "~erm , no, I'm okay - its a 9 hr flight, I'll eat later". And then , every 15 minutes some would ask you if you wanted to eat !!
The lounge in Dubai is also very nice - but filled with a hard to explain large no of kids.
I think in general the standards have gone down all across the board in terms of travel classes, it's still decent but all those nice to have things that made it really special have gone. It's also more expensive than ever.
