Re: What have you done today thread?
Had pals here for a few days, and normally we'd have the BBQ Bonfire on.
But been extra mild last few nights.
Tonight we started playing cards about 7:00 on the patio.
Last 4 hours have been Newmarket with gallons of alcohol. Best card game in the world
Bloody amazing.
But a bit pissed off it wasn't cold enough to light the BBQ

Saw a cardiologist.
Turns out not only does he have bikes (HD, KTM x2, Ducati, Honda & a 1400 Connie, but he also worked at the Royal Cornwall in Truro & had been married to some gal from Marazion whose maiden name was actually Curnow.
oh, & we talked about my pump a bit. Tests discussed. Two follow ups booked with the possibility of two others.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Woohooo - skiing again, but in sunshine! Luckily (for the boredom factor of those reading!) I didn't take many photos!! But, it really was proper lush
We did a little over 17 miles of skiing (my mate has a fancy thingy that logs the skiing and not the chairlifts!! ) Which is apparently quite a reasonable day. My legs thought so! We did a few runs I've never done, one that I'd forgotten that I'd done (probably blanked it out cos it looks lovely from the lift but it's pretty challenging!!).
We stopped for lunch and when we got going again all three of us realised our legs couldn't keep going So only a couple of (pretty decent!) runs to get home and then chill before heading to the quiz tonight

Re: What have you done today thread?
It is La Plagne. I’m in Plagne Centre.
We did first lift out of Centre to head over to the Vanoise. But didn’t take it to go to Les Arcs. A mate caught up with us at the cafe by there and then we skied back to Bellecote but doing some new to me runs on the way - weirdly since it’s my 11th season!!!
Then we went over towards Champagny after lunch but had killed our legs

Might be over your way at end of month if the snow is poor in the Auvergne.
Looking at places in belle plagne for a midweek 3 nighter, so might want to pick your brains as to where's good next week

Learned a new (to me) medical term:
"Ballistic podiatry"
Used by Ron DeSantis to describe Nikki Haley's habit of shooting herself in the foot during political debates.

Usual shenanigans at work. First problem this year, first problem fixed. I hope it’s not like last year but I suspect there will be about 4378 other issues to go in 2024

Re: What have you done today thread?
I don't know much up there, but a couple of good places in Bellecote - I tend to stick to Plagne Centre and occasionally go down to 1800! But I can find outDitchfinder wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 7:57 pm Might be over your way at end of month if the snow is poor in the Auvergne.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today I had the longest lie in I can remember for ever!! Mainly cos I really wasn't very well Fairly sure I had a temperature overnight and most of today but finally starting to feel human (ish) again!
Was considering crying off work (a first for me here!) but then got sent a couple of transfers to do and realised they must already be short of staff, so I went in anyway! But at least I have a relatively easy day tomorrow
Would be nice to get a bit more sleep tonight, so crossing fingers

Re: What have you done today thread?
This morning I switched the telly on and spent a few minutes seeing what was on, nothing worth watching. That's my TV viewing done for the year.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I met up with an old band mate I haven't seen for a good while,we had a good natter and hogged a table for an hour over coffees. There's been a lot of water under the bridge for us both. A few of them are heading over to Spain on the bikes in the Springtime and I was formally invited, but I really can't be arsed at even the thought of a holiday,so I politely declined. A proper boring bastard I am,I don't even own an up to date passport!

Re: What have you done today thread?
Put the ZRX11 up on the Pitbull rear stand & then had to grab my inhaler. Issue is the front wheel is in the Baxley chock so the bike doesn't roll to make it easier to lift the rear.. & the fact that the Pitbull lifts the rear wheel about 5in off the ground.. & my health, so I had three things working against me. Now having a rest before actually working on the ZRX11. Bugger.
ZRX11 isn't even on the ride schedule until next month, but I've been putting stuff off since last month & I have the garage all to myself today.
Edit: discovered I'm one screw short on the shifter. M4x10 c/s.
