Spent a few hours at the ER having my pump checked.

Apparently I'm not going to cark it just yet. Discovered that the local hospital schedules all the hot looking nurses for night shift, by christ there was some fine looking totty in the place.
In other news, a bit later today:
Was waiting behind a couple at an ATM today. Typical Walmartian outfits, sweats & fuzzy slippers. Guy reached into his pocket & pulled out a stack of $100's damn near 3in thick, counted off a couple & put the rest back in his pocket. Pants were so baggy I could have reached in & grabbed the lot. At least $30k, maybe more. There was a quick calculation about how far I could get on half a tank of gas...
Decided to go buy a lottery ticket instead.

Your odds of winning by pickpocketing this guy were greater than your odds with the lottery. I'm led to believe it isn't quietly sliding your hand in so much as stumbling into the victim so the impact covers the grab. Apparently working in pairs is ideal. Of course the price for losing is a bit greater.

Inflation's so bad that $30K only gets you half a tank of fuel?

I've seen American car chases, I reckon if you can drive over the speed limit and turn a corner you're in with a pretty good chance.

Or rather clearing the crap I had dragged off my land and pulling it on a tarp up to where they dumped the skip off yesterday.

I've still got two huge piles of tree and palm cuttings to move into the skip. Love a good bonfire and have a permit allowing me to have them, but this whole area is still tinder dry, and I don't want to be the one that has an errant ember setting it all the woods alight.
Nice bit of land there mate. How you settling in?

Led the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial outside our Church, St John's Welling.

We had a bugler for The Last Post and Reveille. Very moving. People in the park opposite the Church joined in the service and observed the silence and said the amen.

Not bad thanks. Got used to things quicker than I expected. The administration of just everything is just a little different, but easiest not to compare to how things are done in the UK. Some stuff is very quickly done, others not.

Got used to the night noises (f**king owls and other birds make a huge racket). Weather is a big bonus, all year round biking which is great, because parking a car in my nearby towns is a bloody nightmare.

Just got my residency to get approved before January, then I can relax and enjoy life out here.

Mowed the lawn. 2.5 hour job due in part to the small collector on my flymo.
Cleared the plant life from the porch gutters. Then knocked all the loose moss off the roof tiles so cleared the gutter again...
Cleared all the leafs up from around the garden/drive.
Not watched the MotoGP yet.

Cold and wet here.

Lit the fire, slobbed out to watch all three races from Valencia in their entirety. An unbelievable luxury,my phone didn't ring once.

Next week will be the payback, but today was like coming up for air. 8-)

Fuck all really :D Which is nice. I watched all the MotoGP, nipped out shopping between races and took the mutts out.
sharpened a couple of knives so the pork joint could be sorted. Opened a bottle of Vin Rouge and rejoiced in how fortunate my life is this week.

When everybody finally left  (they do like to talk), I took the missus down to Playa Blanca on the GSXR for an ice cream. Yummy ice cream there

On the way down we rode through Puerto del Carmen and it was dead. This is usually the busiest and noisiest resort, but I'd say it was only about 25% of normal. Our place is just over 50% I'd say.

Lovely gentle ride in the sun :)

Been up to İzmir with the local greengrocer to deliver a pile of stuff donated in the village for victims of the recent earthquake.

The first depot that was opened is full so we were directed to a second huge place. There's a lot of stuff in there too but it's nowhere near full. It's going to take a fair bit of effort to sort it all and distribute it. Rather them than me.

Made chili... It's not come out quite right, not up to my usual standard. Can't put my finger on where it went awry.
Most bizarre.
Altho TBF, it did induce heartburn within seconds... so i got that bit right.

Edit: Roomie just suggested I may have Covid because it tasted fine to her... whereas the only part of my mouth that got *lit up* by the chili was right at the back of the roof of my mouth, not the tongue etc.... which along with yesterdays ER visit & some slight breathing anomalies for the past week has me thinking maybe I should get tested.
No cough or other respiratory stuff, just noticed that when I'm relaxed my breathing sometimes feels like it's about to stop, altho it doesn't... & my blood 0x levels at the ER were 95-98% (or whatever the fuck that machine measures)

Had breakfast, cleaned the house, went for a cycle, wash the 2 old bikes and put them up for saw on market place.
