If that speedo was in mph it'd be even more hooligan. :D

IIRC I saw 100mph+ on the speedo when I test rode a Burgman (2 up on the M25/private road) and that was a 650. V comfy it was too.

Like a lot of big scoots, they have a lwb, so are quite stable at speeds.

I had planned to hide the tracker on it somewhere today than give it a bit of a run before getting into London's traffic tomorrow, but its too cold and I think i'll paint the bedroom ceiling instead! :wtf: I am officially old! :D

What's the performance stats on these. ?
A mighty 54 bhp! :D
My 28hp RE will do 70. Bet its good for 80/90. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My Xmax 300 only has 28bhp and that'll do over 90, allegedly ;)

The XADV will do about 110mph iirc

Nice road, but I hated the dull pharting noise of the bike. Better with a quiet can on,if that's all it's got.

Look like a good fun bike tbh. Sound's like it's got the flappy paddles for gear changes. Ground clearance seems good aswel. 👍

Its got an akra on there, which is very quiet. Thought i'd take the baffle out to see what it sounds like, but its not removable! :wtf: Apparently there is a spot weld holding it in, which can be ground off, but you have to take the end cap off which is riveted on from the factory, ffs! Quiet it is then!

It looks the same as the cans on my Zed. Instead of drilling out the end rivets, you can drill a 10mm hole on the inside to access the baffle retaining screw. Akra even sell genuine replacement rubber bungs to neatly fill the hole.

But yeah,in your case leave the baffles in. :P

Sort of, a Remus Ti can for a AT, F800R carbon end can and a full Black Widow system for a MT09!

I must admit I thought your AT would have been long gone by now.Are you keeping the other Honda?
Here's hoping the local scum don't have eye's for the new scooter.
No I’ll sell the cb1000r. I really like it and it’d be a nice stablemate but it’s too uncomfortable for me to ride.

I had to take the bike back today as the battery died. Fair play to the dealers (Belle Vue Motors) they asked if I could get it started, and i said yes, so they said bring it straight down to the workshops where they'll be expecting you and they'll check it out and fit a new battery, which they did.

Then I set off on my daily commute. I immediately noticed the missing 50 odd bhp of course, but the X-ADV is smoother and the DCT changes gear more, notably downshifts. I guess Honda have the AT set up differently due to the bigger engine having more torque? It's also less vibey than the AT. Overall, for me, it's just a lot more manageable, as its a lot less top heavy. I'd say the X-ADV is a better city bike by a country, err, town mile. I was back to filtering and not having to keep moving over to let slimmer bikes through. Early days of course, but the commute confirmed i'd made the right decision.

Slight security problem I have is my 19mm ALmax doesn't fit through the spokes on either wheel. The 16mm pragmasis sort of does but you have to wind it through and its not easy to do and will undoubtedly end up damaging the spokes. Fortunately, its long enough to go up through the forks and lock it to the ground anchor that way. The Almax isn't long enough to do that, so this of course means I have to carry the bastard heavy pragmasis chain with me at the moment! I'll eventually sell the ALmax and buy another longer 16mm chain. The things you have to do to try and protect your property huh! :x
