Still only hear the girl :obscene-birdiedoublered:
Try comparing the 'you're so vain....I bet..' bit at around 50secs with the same lyric at 1m50secs, he's shadowing the lead vocal. I might be wrong, I've had a head cold all week.
Mick Jagger absolutely, incontestably sang backing vox on YSV. It was a known thing back in the day and Carly Simon alluded to it in contemporary interviews.
the photo in the vid of Carly simon has more than a hint of DAvid Bowie about it.

I've only just watched the vid that ChrisW linked to, and that is a much later re-work of YSV. It even says so on the credits = © 2011 Iris Records.

This is the original tune, minus the video, of course.

And here's an interview with Carly where she says MJ sang backing vox.

Any further questions?

Someone posted up this pic on a Kawasaki triples group recently and a question was asked if that was the correct oilpump cover for 1969.

Sadly,I can say I know it is. :(

She doesn't seem to have pupils in her eyes. That can't be standard.

Not knowing much about him, I read the Sunday Times article about him - seems like a true user and abuser of people around him (in his early years) and then was able to blame his narcissistic behaviour on "sex addiction".

It has two of the buggers. A friction type through the headstock and the hydraulic one you see.

According to an acquaintance, posted on LinkedIn:

You most DEFINATELY wanted him IN your tent PISSING out...... ( I went to secondary school and sixth form with him, where the funds of the Labour students society went missing)

Any day now: The Go Show...

https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/an ... australia/
Former racer Anthony “The Go Show” Gobert, age 48, is currently hospitalized with an undisclosed illness in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and is receiving end-of-life care, according to his family.

The following was posted by Gobert’s middle brother, former racer Aaron Gobert, Wednesday on Facebook:

“It is with sadness that we have to announce that Anthony is currently hospitalized in palliative care and is in the final stages of his life following a short illness – please be aware that we will provide any available updates in due course. During this difficult time, the videos of Anthony being distributed during what has been an extremely troubled period of his life are deeply concerning, however, on behalf of Anthony, we must thank his many supporters from throughout his racing career.”

Anthony Gobert won Supercross and Superbike Championships in Australia, won seven World Superbike races, won 11 AMA Pro Superbike races, and took six top-10 race finishes in the 500cc GP World Championship. And he did so in flamboyant style that garnered him many fans worldwide.

Away from the track and TV cameras Gobert was kind, generous, and very funny.

Gobert last raced professionally in the Australian Superbike Championship in 2007.

One year later, Gobert was charged with two counts of “stealing” and served time in prison.

Throughout his life Gobert struggled with alcohol and drug abuse. In 1997, Gobert lost his ride with the Suzuki factory 500cc Grand Prix team after failing a drug test, and in more recent times, Gobert’s substance abuse led to legal problems and him becoming homeless.

We will post more information as it becomes available.

Now there was a major talent on a bike. 48 isn't much of an age to check out,but the guy did some living in his train wreck life.

Sorry to hear that.

I saw him ride at Mallory. Didn't know the track but you could see he was trying.
