Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
Well, of the rain actually.
I thought yesterday we may drown in our own homes.
But onwards we go.
Fri. WFH then Forest of Dean for some riding and maybe a pint. Then driving to Porthmadog for the night
Sat. Dyfi bike park with the crazies... must admit, it's not my favourite place, feel very out of my depth there. Home late.
Sun. Chilling and cleaning bikes i expect.

It’s been relentless, it was meant to be dry the last few days here but it’s been the opposite.
Fri - work
Sat - I might go to work to use the workshop, I need to fit some sorts to the wife’s car.
Sun - sweet fa

Re: Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
The rain's getting a tad boring.
Among other things on my to do list I have a collection of a few different devices with rechargeable batteries in that the batteries are past their best/kaput. I guess you're expected to throw stuff away and buy new but I'm going to have a go at dismantling 'em to see if I can replace the batts.
Done it before on an environment monitor. It involved desoldering the old batt - which is pants really as you're supposed to be able to remove batteries before disposal of stuff these days.

Heading to the airport at the mo, off to Madeira for a week on an utter whim
Which means I've had a three day week at work, and am escaping the gloom and damp for a bit - win win!

Re: Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
I almost feel a bit yorick-y ( ) posting this in light of the preceding posts, but what the hell- today, aside from my usual constitutional 7ish mile cycle up and down the hills here that I'm just about to set off on, and a bit more Bandit time after that, the only other thing I have planned is chucking a few things in a bag as we're flying out to Agadir tomorrow morning for some sun, sea , no sangria but doubtless plenty of cold annonymous tasting beer and one or two other things begining with S too
Will be nice to be in shorts and flip-flops again, for a few days at least - hope the weather's nice and warm and dry for the rest of you next week too

I'm actually sick and tired! Got a cold which is really annoying! So I'm tired too
Got friends out until Sunday and another arrives this afternoon - so, after work today we're having a meal out with everyone as I'll be working the weekend.
Bonus - it's snowing loads - great for skiing, bit shit for transfers tomorrow and Sunday
But, looking forward to the meal out tonight, then head down and work the weekend and hopefully get some skiing in next week when it's quieter than the last two weeks!!

Re: Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
Friday, day off, dropped Mrs M off at work, collected old dog meds, repaired the blind Mrs M broke for me to fix this morning, vacuumed the house, dog walk, trip to LBS, wash the ZH2, takeaway tonight, a few Longman GF Pilsners.
Saturday, not a lot hopefully.
Sunday, 12hrs at work, as commissioning operator for the contractors renewing the substation at Star Lane (should be interesting as they are mating a new substation to an old one in stages and then removing the old one at a later date).

Re: Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
Today got an hour on the zx6, it was good fun. I’ve got little couch all weekend so tonight we unpacked an Xmas pressie and built a fort
Tomorrow I’ve offered to take her and two of her mates roller skating, no grown ups , mates daughter cooing too although she’s 29 but I’ve know her since she was 5.
Sunday after dropping little un at panto rehearsals I’ll get a MTB ride in locally. That’s it.

Last night shift tonight so hoping it’s a quiet night.
Saturday, off to the gf’s but going on the bike so it can have a good run. Chilling All weekend, home Monday when it says it’s 1degree so might be a bit chilly when I get back!!
Have fun whatever you’re planning,
Mick

Re: Friday thread... January, sick and tired...
Work tomorrow- rode in on the bike this morning but getting it out onto the road backwards over an undropped kerb is an art I’ve not yet mastered.
First weekend the 2 of us have been in our own as the child is back at University so nice and quiet in our new gaff.
Tam is off to Canada on Thursday so I’m on my own for a week (she’s only back for 36 hours then she’s seeing her olds in Japan for 2 weeks)
Tenerife in a few weeks time and I can’t wait
