Dry and not too cold, but windy and lots of lakes on the road after all the rain. I didn't go far,but it was cool to swop a few cogs for a while.

Taking her out for a paddle!
Bit of a shock for her, doesn't usually get wet!

And rather unsurprisingly, clean bill of health for another year!
Have to be well legal en France with the introduction of bike CTs in April.
I'm looking at you Smixx!

I'm surprised that's going ahead, but sort of pleased!

I can't get the paperwork to register the Monster, so not totally sure what I'm gonna do for now. Although it might be easier with a CT - if I can say it's legal for a CT, then it might be easier to get Ducati to help get the CoC!!

A while back I posted about the 2-Squeek show that was hosted at a mates factory where he keeps his bike collection. Here's a video of the show & collection:

Had a enjoyable few hours out with my mates earlier, once again I was on the SV650,mates were on a GS & Hyabusa, once again it was raining..
Lathom Hall layby, they had a big battle at Lathom Hall in the civil war & there's a plaque here commemorating what went on in WW1,330,000 horses went through here on the way to France.Lots of history in West Lancs.

We visited the local bike shop, then onto the local water sports centre for a brew, sheltering from the rain & plans for this years holiday.
On the way back we spotted one of those new speed cameras :wtf: Happy to say my rain gear held up to the moisture

I used to cycle up and down that road when I was a kid! Had friends who lived on the lane right opposite the lay-by that leads to the golf club.

Took the little one for a test ride after a tumble last time out caused the left fork seal to start leaking. All sorted now after dropping forks and realigning.
It’s running peachy now the colder weather is here.

It's been settled and dry here, but the gritters are out each night,so it's game off for me.

I really do need to get a ride on an SV650. I'm seriously thinking about downsizing from my old VFR750 and I reckon an SV650 would fit the bill perfectly. It would also give me plenty of scope for fettling/fiddling/uprating stuff... :)

We've not had a proper frost since Sunday,I was out in the car this morning & the roads didn't look gritted so I decided to get the bike out.
The other week the roads & lanes around here were covered in mud from tractor's,but the rain over the last few weeks seems to have washed the mud away. It's forecast to get wintry agatn next week so I made the most of it

I probably sound like a broken record banging on about how good they are,I bought mine as a winter hack bike two years ago, wondering what the fuss was about, but after a few months I really 'got' it.They're great bikes,I've grown to love the V twin.
My Street Triple is a fun bike & outperforms the SV in most departments but if I sell one it'll be the Triumph'with the money going into a later SV

Yeah - I'm a long time V-twin fondler and the light weight and uncomplicated nature of the SV really appeals. Is there any particular 'generation' of SV that is best or is it just a case of buying on condition and mileage?
