The Fall. Odd film but just bear in mind its supposed to be inside the imagination of a kid and you'll be right.

Ooh good call! (The 2006 film, not 2022's 'Fall'). It's been said they don't make films like it any more, and probably never will. It's excellent.

Ooh...good call. I haven't watched it for years so it's probably time to (before the Merkins 'remake' it ). The American film 'The Ramen Girl' was a bit of a homage to 'Tampopo' - and wasn't actually awful.

I'll have see 'Dumplings' too having read a bit about it.

I think it was on yesterday. I was happy that it was the end of the Aaardman/Dreamworks collaboration though - and I think Aardman were too.

How was it? Read a review or two that were a bit meh about it.

I picked up a DVD of 'Under the Skin'* for 99p in Oxfam yesterday. Think I have a copy somewhere but at 99p it's less hassle than looking for it. It was a flop but I rather like it, it's a bit different.

Well, it's not a documentary or art house But it was entertaining

Loses a bit from the the first simply because the voices behind the characters aren't as strong (Mel Gibson as Rocky, etc).

As chickens don't have opposable thumbs, you'll need to suspend some disbelief

Spoilers: Mrs Tweedy is back and there's a brief cameo by Feathers McGraw at the end.

A slow starter, but stick with it. A true story.
I was blubbing like I'd lost a 100€ note.
