It'd surprise precisely no-one to know that was my favourite toy as a child.

Probably my best ever Christmas present was my Lego Tiltrotor :D.

The box is beautiful though

I'm coming round to yours, how dare you not have a go at building that 😝
Let me know when you are going as I'll join you!!! And, if we open the boxes really really carefully I'm sure Couchy won't notice the contents missing - till we line up the finished items!!

I can highly recommend this game for Christmas get together. Essentially pictionary, but with Lego.

Yeah, the thing about Lego was you got a pretty standard set of bricks, the rest was down to your imagination. A Lego kit that only makes one thing is pretty much....Airfix.

(My most exotic piece was a clear, standard piece with a bulb in. :D ).

There was also a thing called, iirc Minibrix, which had rubber bricks similar to Lego, and you could pretty much only build houses - which weighed a ton!

PS got my first present yesterday. Postie handed me a parcel addressed to me from The Spectator (I hadn't ordered anything). Shook it and said 'How odd, it sounds like a jigsaw puzzle'. So I think the missus has been on-line shopping. :D

I have a present!! :bblonde: :bblonde: And am being good (for now!) and it's sitting waiting for Christmas Day :D :D

My family might be a bit crap in general for birthdays and Christmas (it's how we were brought up, not sure how I ended up being the Christmas and Birthday Fairy!!) but I do have some awesome mates    The pressie is from a biker mate of these parts - depending on what it is when I do open it I might share a pic :angelic-green: :angelic-green:

So what ya get?

I got a space pen, just like the one used by people in space!
A V8 engine, I had to build and it had a missing a con-rod bearing cap so it sticks when trying to turn over.
Battleships, to replace the previous one I can't find. The wife likes Battleships, cos she NEVER loses.
More JD than you can shake a stick at.
Various Whiskey/Whisky's.
A Hilfiger shirt.

I didn't get the one thing I asked for and even provided a link to... because she's convinced it'll be cheaper in the sales!

My favourite - a chef's press. Like this but not exactly the same - they don't ship to the UK.

Some other stuff as well and according to the email i got ths morning my new Apple watch Ultra 2 is winging its way to me. Apparently I decided to treat myself to an xmas present. I remember doing it now and its been a while since I made a late night drunken purchase! :?

I got a Christmas card from wifey and a couple of pens from my Spanish teacher.

I've treated myself though. A couple of hours drive to Almeria, I've got two days trials riding booked for next week. 😁

Do you normally wear an Apple Watch?

I got the latest one a few weeks ago and within a week it was getting on my tits, so I gave it to my lad.
I do now. i bought one when they came out and thought it was useless and sold it on. The wife kept saying she wanted one and despite my reservations, I gave in and bought her one and she didn't stop banging on about it. As they progressed I noticed more people using them and decided to give them another go. Not looked back tbh. Only thing was they re a bit small but I saw the Ultra the other day and found it its gone from 45-49mm and looks better for it, so decided to upgrade.

Top 2 prezzies were priceless.

But these 2 are cool. Fancy whisky and smoking kit.

Had the neighbours round for Xmas Dinner then smoked/drank this after all the food n wine.
I love it getting a prezzy that I'd never guess
Top day

Good luck with that. I've tried for the last 30 years or so not to receive birthday or Christmas presents. Some people seem to want to take that as an insult and a challenge.
Finally I got what I wanted, with one honorable exception. The exception being spawn the younger who gave me a used cushion that I forgot to take when I last visited them. No cover, just the feather stuffed bit.

Why do people buy gift cards?

Great you've bought me a voucher that doesn't cover the cost of anything I would like from that establishment so now we're both out of pocket.

I'd rather you'd have bought me a pint.
