I've just realised that I'm a big film rewatcher. I try and watch a few new ones every week but I reckon I've seen most of the above at least 5 times, many of them 10+ and an embarrassing few more than 30 times I reckon. Some definitely 50.

Given that my usual criteria for what makes a good film is that it must contain tanks or spaceships, preferably both, it's not surprising I forgot these.

Mad Max (My all time favourite. I can pretty much recite the script, even been to the old pump station in Melbourne where they filmed MFP HQ, had my picture taken on crutches just like a fat Jim Goose. The crutches were not a prop and genuinely required after a day long visit to the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I in no way broke my own foot to get out of a pre-booked day trip round the Neighbours set with my wife. She enjoyed it more without me anyway )

The Banshees of Inishiren (Strange, funny, and wonderful)

Bad Boy Bubby (holy fuck!)

And the crowning glory....

Wyrmwood - Road of the Dead.

Special mention to Dead Snow. It's subtitled, but who couldn't love Nazi Zombies on snowmobiles.

Oh, and Wheels of Terror. Sven Hassel fans will cringe, but it's so bad it's good. The chap who plays the clinky bottle chap out of the Warriors plays the Little Legionnaire.

I saw it as a kid when it came out... my parents belonged to some dodgy 'video club' on our estate where a typed-out list of pirated VHSs got passed around once a month to order from
