Anything by Tarantino not on my list as it’s pretentious bollox 😃

I like simple films that are easy to watch so while not classics they’re my favourites and this is just a few 🤣

Top Gun
Top Gun Maverick
Bad Boys 1 and 2
Gone in 60 seconds
Forrest Gump
Daniel Craig bonds
Snatch
Iron Man
Chaplin
Rogue One
Home Alone
Taken 123
The Equalizer 123
Hangover 123

I'm a bit odd cos, unless I'm at the cinema or sat in a home watching with friends, I don't really "watch" films. They are on and I listen and dip in and out of watching.

And, as you would probably guess, I'm more of a lightweight/chick flick type person!!

But

All Star Wars
Ghostbusters
Some of the Bond ones
Gremlins!!
Die Hard
MIB 1-4

Hot Fuzz - LOVE this one, partly cos I lived in the city they mostly filmed it in, so I know all the places really well!! LOL (The guy that made the film was a year or two below my sister at school)

The ones you guys probably wouldn't watch over and over are -

Burlesque - bloody love the soundtrack. The 'story' is average but the soundtrack ROCKS!!
Love Actually
Notting Hill
Polar Express!

I'll watch most things but not too horror and not the phsyche ones!! LOL And because I rarely watch anything properly, I often watch and rewatch!!
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!! :bblonde:

Wizard of Oz. What a fantastic acid trip Frank Baum must have been having in the 1900's to have written the story.

Most of my faves have been mentioned.

But I'll add Warriors. First saw it at the pictures. Had to go to Skipton as was banned in West Yorkshire.

Can never remember an exhaustive list but these spring to mind today

Anything Tarantino
Anything Cohen Brothers
Anything Guy Ritchie
Any old hammer house of horror movies
Wild at Heart (David lynch movie not the later series of the same name)
Blade Runner
Where the Crawdads Sing
First Blood
Life of Brian
Once upon a time in Mexico
Desperado
Full metal Jacket
The Hundred foot Journey
On any Sunday.
Shrek :)
Nearly all the Art house movies Mrs GP recommends, they never sound appealing

Also, if I'm channel surfing, I invariably get stuck if I come across Bruce Lee, Jean Claude Van Damm, Arnie, Statham and Clint Eastwood movies!

The John Wick films
Highlander (the original)

Having had time to ponder I'll add 'Something Wild' and also, not because Melanie Griffiths is in it too but it reminded me, 'Stormy Monday (It's not that good but it's got Newcastle in it, so I'll add 'Get Carter' too).

Another vote for 'The Wicker Man' too. (Did anyone manage to watch the remake with Nic Cage in all the way through? ).

I haven't seen that since i was at school: we actually studied it in English.... (Our teacher was a bit odd).

Battle of Britain is a film i can watch again and again. (Mainly because i have find memories of watching it with my dad, He always found the germans hilarious)

Your teacher was probably a Classics person and wanted, really, to introduce you to the Greek classics like Anabasis and start you off gently. :D

I love Unforgiven, another good one is Pale Rider, both directed and produced by Eastwood himself.

Inspired by this thread, just about to watch Reservoir Dogs :)

Possibly the Dune remake tomorrow (never read the books, tried the original movie a while back and gave up).
Even bland can be a type of character
