Re: What have you done today thread?
Spent at day in West Malling having an Advent Quiet Day. Really refreshed and at peace. Now to go to the Salvation Army Carol's in my church at 7pm. I'll be reading the last lesson and praying the Blessing at the end of the service. Then dinner and sleep!
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Bought a pair of TCX boots in the SMC Sheffield clearance sale. These in fact:

Fit beautifully and feel comfy when walking about. Which is nice.

Drove to Southampton and back, on the way back several motorists tried to kill me.

Aired up the tires on the ZRX11 & managed (after three tries) to get it out of the Baxley chock without aggravating the spine issues... So I guess I'll be freezing my ass off on the bike tomorrow (which is already *today* in Blighty).

Got up, 3S'd, It's now 6.45am & 33 frigging degrees, supposed to warm up to 45deg by 9am which is about when I'll leave the house. It will be 75deg by the time I get down the hill which is much more agreeable. Aiming to be home by 5pm

Put stuff in the Loft of our new house - things I doubt I’ll ever look at again.
Manoeuvred the bikes around in the front garden and put the 900 to bed for a few months - it’s going to be living outdoors but well hidden and it’s got to be better than a very damp garage (I keep telling myself)

Re: What have you done today thread?
I dislike VW T6s. But when the power steering starts to go they suck big style!!
I noticed it yesterday, wasn’t awful but definitely on the way out. Luckily not too bad as I had a really long day in it yesterday
Didn’t try and change vehicles for today as I only had to go to GVA and back - kinda wish I had cos it was terrible today Got back and told the girl in the office that it shouldn’t go out again until it had been sorted. Then the boss phones and says can you drive it down to the workshop
So, took it back down the mountain, a few scary moments on hairpins - it’s extra difficult driving something with ‘patchy’ power steering when you usually use just one hand/arm and now have to equally use a bad arm and a (since yesterday) not happy good arm!!!
Got to the workshop and the boss asked me to park it inside. I couldn’t manouver it any more so a colleague did it for me and drove me back up to resort
Then, pizza with the kids, left them at a seasonaire bar and came home
I so love that I speak enough French to have a mad conversation with my bus driver friend (he is at the very least smutty, so I’m now learning rude/smutty words )
Mad but happy weekend

Guess what I forgot? One of the other Mojave Desert Rexers msg'd me just before I left the house to meet up to ride down the hill together & ended up getting on the freeway about 6 miles South of where I usually do... Bugger.

Been dealing with the fallout from an unwanted inappropriate act committed on one of my team by a colleague at the Christmas party...

Did they say 'Happy Christmas!' Instead of 'Happy Holidays!'?

Actually, my bad. It was an inappropriate act at the 'End of Year Party'. I apologise.Count Steer wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 4:27 pmDid they say 'Happy Christmas!' Instead of 'Happy Holidays!'?

Re: What have you done today thread?
Let me guess....it isn't a woman that committed the 'inappropriate act'? I'd also guess much alcohol was involved. Next thing you know the firm will be getting a counter-suit for putting the culprit in a situation whereby his judgement was compromised.gremlin wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2023 4:34 pmActually, my bad.
