Bought myself a teenage engineering ep133 ko2. And it's even been shipped apparently as they sold out almost immediately. Google it.

That's nice, but I've bought my niece this.. (she's only three and it'll annoy the fuck out of my sister)...porter_jamie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 9:48 pm Bought myself a teenage engineering ep133 ko2. And it's even been shipped apparently as they sold out almost immediately. Google it.

Nothing, I don’t want anything and I’m not buying anything except presents for my daughter. Who has also said she’s sad I’m not getting anything so she’ll ask Santa to bring a present for me. I’ve had to go and buy said present and I’m getting a Lego Vespa. It can sit with the 10 other unbuilt Lego sets, probably next to the Lamborghini Sian as that has a cool box too.
Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I quite fancy doing a lego set. Seems a shame to not build 'em! I had fun building the Halfords engine set a few years back.Couchy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:36 pm Nothing, I don’t want anything and I’m not buying anything except presents for my daughter. I'm not big on presents - I'll get a chocolate orange and some cheese off my parents, and they'll get some rum truffles off me. That'd do me tbh, but Muz is from a present buying family so...
He wanted to buy me a bike 'dash cam' and we picked a kit up at the NEC bike show, so I'm getting that.
I've also asked for a new big screwdriver kit, cos he keeps nicking/losing mine, and some Halvarssons CE2 flexible armour for my new leathers.
The in-laws will be getting me the new Jamie Oliver cook book (it's tradition), some Vulcan motorbike cleaning wipes, and probably some other random bits and bobs - likely to include socks and chocolate. The socks will promptly be donated to a mate with less picky taste than me, and Muz will eat half the choccy

If Santa does not fit doon yer lum i recommend getting two of the Aldi Ruka speakers (when next in). They can be set up as left and right channels and the sound is 100% better than it should be for the price. Had mine a good four years now and still hold a good charge.

Slippers - I always ask for slippers because they have a 12 month life expectancy and last years are on their way out.
A merino wool jumper - I sent a link to a mustard colour Benetton one so probably that one.
A quality fitted sheet - 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton.
Walking shoes - Merrell Women's Siren Traveller Track Shoe.
This is what happens when you get "older". It's all about warmth, comfort and a good nights sleep.
I'm quite excited about the pressies that I've bought my sons...
AeroBand PocketDrum 2 - which we'll all have a go of and say "yeah - that's cool" and then never bother with again.
PS5 and 4 games - whoop whoop

Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I've got quite a few over the last several Christmases! Didn't ask for any of them buy I like em all.
I'm not interested in the cars, bikes and stuff. They've got some brilliant "grown up's Lego" now though. I have a bonsai tree and a bird of paradise plant in my office. We also have a bouquet of flowers as small Cacti in the living room
I probably enjoy building them more than looking . Kinda hoping I'll get the "modern art" or "the great wave" for Chrimbo despite not having asked for them.

I did this for years for the girls when they were smaller & I'm really glad I did. Even more so once they were old enough to realise I'd been doing it all along and it became a joke/tradition between us.

Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I’ve already had a radiator guard for my bike but there are 2 unopened boxes that I don’t know what’s in them.
I’m hoping it’s Lego. I’m sure I said that on another thread as well.
I’m a sad fucker at nearly 70 years old but I love Lego….so there.

I’m with all the other Lego lovers and am quite envious that you have so much a sad you haven’t built them!!Couchy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:36 pm Nothing, I don’t want anything and I’m not buying anything except presents for my daughter. TBF, now I’ve read all of you guys mentioning Lego, that’s probably something I’d put on my list cos I bloody love building it up!! Rarely get the opportunity but it is awesome

Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I am having the exciting work that is my gutters cleaned and fitted with some sort of anti-leaf devices as a collaborative present from the family, in fact they are coming to do the work today.
They are also going to lop some of the branches off the large tries that are right next to my gaff.
The gutters get full around this time of the year and are totally blocked up, it's like a full waterfall when rains at the moment so they need doing.
Aaint getting old and having more responsibilities like the upkeep of a house fun!

Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I don't have all the equipment needed tbh, plus my handy skills are poor and i would probably end up falling off the ladder onto someone on the cycle track who sues me for £6m or something so ill let the family pay for it to be done...weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:20 ambeen easier to buy you a ladderGreenman wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 9:18 am I am having the exciting work that is my gutters cleaned and fitted with some sort of anti-leaf devices as a collaborative present from the family, in fact they are coming to do the work today.

Re: What are you getting from Santa ?
I'm not a fan of the modern Lego Technic...too many custom pieces. It used to just be "normal lego" with holes in. Then all the shafts and gears.
It'd surprise precisely no-one to know that was my favourite toy as a child.
Probably my best ever Christmas present was my Lego Tiltrotor .
