More debt 👀

I asked for a new Bluetooth speaker for the workshop as my last one shat it. I’ve been using just the speaker from the phone for months now and it just doesn’t cut it.

Nothing. I have told people I need nothing and want nothing. I expect them to adhere to my wishes.

I sent her a link to a watch I like. She won't buy it.

She'll spend twice as much on something I don't want/need and call me ungrateful when I ask her to send it back.

Good luck with that. I've tried for the last 30 years or so not to receive birthday or Christmas presents. Some people seem to want to take that as an insult and a challenge.

Should've said. I've got one in a cupboard somewhere. I think it's a Sony. Bought it for my cabin and used it twice. It's probably not got enough welly for a workshop though.

Me? We don't really do the Christmas present thing with each other any more just encourage each other to get stuff that we want ie she's a bit hmmm about spending a wedge on stuff (silk as it happens) from a company that we know the aged owner is going to close down. I'm going 'Get in there!! You won't be able to when she (the owner) finally retires. Buy now!'

So we just relax the purse strings a bit. :D

Life in all its glorious abundance and joy! IT is after all Christ Mass! So I have all I need and more. The fat man in a red suit will be shot as a burglar. St Nicholas did his stuff on 6th December, good chap he was, a Bishop who gave to the poor, saved women from prostitution, sailors from persecution and children from hunger.

Children will get nice things, wife will get something nice, but I'm content with being healthy and happy.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Everyone knows that St Nick wore green. The red suit is marketing bollocks from coca-cola.

I appear to have achieved this quite easily, but I am an offensive twat

It's agreed for the first year there will be no presents changing hands,so happily I'll not feel obliged to thank anyone for shit I neither want, nor require.

That's a present in itself. 8-)

As above, I don’t need anything, nothing I want, so we have both bought ourselves small bits that the other will wrap and we will appear suitably surprised on the day!!
Looking forward to seeing her wrap a VFR800 Crossrunner though!!
I have bought her most of Cadburys, as she often says, “there’s no bad chocolate”!!

New helmet for the road bike, hopefully it'll incentivise me to ride and drag me out of the doldrums.

I could write a list but there's absolutely no point as no one to give it to!

TBF, my nephew is getting here on Friday and leaving on Christmas eve, so that really is an amazing Christmas present. I'll be working Christmas day anyway, so I'll probably try and meet some friends in the morning for coffee and maybe have a short ski. Any Christmas I get to do that is awesome :D

Where I live it feels like Christmas for a few months, so it's just nice to be here. I do miss the group fun of opening presents with bubbles in a glass and a proper dinner cooking. But that's not something I've had for a very long time and not likely to happen anytime soon! LOL So I just enjoy the atmosphere here and I'm going to really enjoy having my nephew and his girlfriend to stay for 8 days :D :D That's a gift for me for sure :D

A kindle paper white and if I'm lucky, some actual books as well.

I like the convenience of ebooks and the tactile, sensory experience of a proper book.

Oh, and I had my early present: v100 Mandello :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Like most of us blokes I buy anything I need as I need it, so normally I say there's nothing I need. However as i do need a 3 tonne trolly jack and axle stands ive asked for those. I've also asked for another HJC lid as there only about £30 more than a new visor. Oh and I mentioned a motorised spit for the Weber bbq and I wonder if anyone's membered that? I think I'll be pissed off if the first year I've asked for stuff and I then dont get it! :wtf:

Looking forward to Xmas this year as last year all three of us had Flu which put a dampener on things
