At the current rates (290 for 3) you could send 2 Home Secretaries to Rwanda for that! OTOH if it's too much I'll take half.

Re: £201 million jackpot on the Euromillions tonight!
I've often talked to a friend about this. He wouldn't want to win a 'few' millions, only a huge amount!!
I'd be happy with less than a million but then I'm happy where I am, I'd just like a slightly larger apartment!!
However, if I did ever get proper lucky and get stupid money - I'd find a way to share most of it. At my age I just want to make sure that I'm ok for my lifetime (my grandmother was 101 when she died, but she didn't do stupid stuff like skiing and motorbikes!), although, with 240 million euros, I might aim a smidge higher than 'ok'!!!
The rest I could think of people and groups I'd like to help. However, on my terms. As mentioned elsewhere on here, a lot of charities make a LOT of money that doesn't go where it was intended. So I'd need to find a way (or find someone to find a way) to help without lining other pockets!
I'd definitely do all the things on the bucket list - and keep adding more stupid stuff to do!! Every place I've ever wanted to see would be seen

It's well into the realms of being able to do daft shit.
Fancy cars, new houses, watches whatever, yeah obviously.
But for example, I'd buy everyone on my team at work a proper pimp wagon with Leopard skin seats and air suspension, then make sure they drive it all customer visits and office meetings.
I'd also pay for all my close friends to be woken up on their birthday by a Kazoo orchestra playing The Final Countdown outside their window.

I'd buy a chalet, then probably move it out the way to dig right down so I can have a couple of levels of underground parking, then put the chalet backMr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:37 pm It's well into the realms of being able to do daft shit.

It's just more stuff of the sort you already own.
Unless you are in a deep financial hole,200 mil is ludicrous.
Anyway,I never win anything,so I don't enter free money competitions.

I'd also buy a Honda Rune for a laugh, but the only one of Ebay is a trike.

Re: £201 million jackpot on the Euromillions tonight!
I'd like to think I'd try and do some good with the money, but there the dilemma begins...how exactly would you do that? Quite often just chucking money at something seems to do more harm than good.

I don't get involved with the hope tax.
But if I did and won £200m, I'd start my own charity / charities to keep me busy and doing good / keep me out of too much mischief.. while swanning it up on my private estate, obviously.

Re: £201 million jackpot on the Euromillions tonight!
I'd start by being able to afford to Insure the car. That would make a dent.
I'd also be able to afford a ulez car. Mine would be a 1940s fire engine chassis with a couple of mental multiple turbo tractor pulling engines, or possibly a tuned to the tits Cummins with a comically large turbo
I'd also get a massive old tractor and a trailer full.of manure and drive up and down the local roads at rush hour just to annoy everyone.
It would be great.
Dog walking car would.be a unicorn one of one 911 special edition worth 100s of thousands and I'd never ever clean it and I'd take to to cars and coffee just to annoy Porsche wankers.

R Lee Ermey lived near me, for a reasonable price he'd call someone up on their birthday & administer a Full Metal Jacket rant, ending with Happy Birthday Motherfucker!" & hang up the phone before the recipient could get a word in.... at 4amMr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 7:37 pm I'd also pay for all my close friends to be woken up on their birthday by a Kazoo orchestra playing The Final Countdown outside their window.

Re: £201 million jackpot on the Euromillions tonight!
Vanguard's *wealth management* entry price is $50M... This ensures both the return ON you money, but also the return OF your money. At 5% annual return average, that gives you $2.5M to piss away before touching the principal. or $5M/year on half the prize.
I think I could scrape by on $5M/year... at least I would like to think so, but I also thought I was sensible enough to buy a ZX11 at the age of 62 & that idea went out the window PDQ.

I would probably get the LDV a service and new air bags.
