I have some Daytona and some Altberg goretex boots. The soles on the Altbergs are like walking boot soles so quite think. Used to find them handy when riding the marked job bikes as I'm a little short of leg.
The Daytonas are my go to though, very comfortable, keep me bone dry. They were however, quite expensive.
