Now if only the mainstream manufacturers would produce a roadgoing bike similar to that. Yes, it will be heavier, yes it will be less powerful, but 65bhp and 160kg should be do-able.

May I refer sir to the (now discontinued) KTM Duke 690 spec sheet? 160kg wet weight and 75bhp (actually about 72-73 rwhp)

:lol: Based on a very limited sample size (one) I'd say KTM reliability, fit and function is on a par with most other manufactureres, even Honda. Obviously not Honda quality of the earlier VFR era, but in the same postcode as modern Honda. The discontinued part is, I agree, a deal-breaker if you want new.

Unfortunately I don't see anything in Honda's current range that comes close to your requirements...

Nor me. The CB500F (which I have) or the CB750 Hornet are the nearest contenders. Both a bit lardy, and the CB500F is built down to the A2 limit.
